Re: Lifetime Millionaires Club

Today notched up a significant milestone for me. I thought it was going to happen at 33 million (for some reason) and every million since and especially the big 4-0 but I've decided that from the latest landmark of 41 million (hit about 30 minutes ago) I'm tired of being tired all the time so I'm d...

Hi there,

There is an outside chance that someone has some experience of these machines, but you will find that the vast majority of people on this forum row on a Concept2.

Well done to all who have done this one, which is once again a tough challenge! Fantastic performances by Claudius =D> and also by Sjoerd and the mysterious Chicken King  I had two goes on this one yesterday. I baled out towards the end of the 500m in the morning and then hauled the erg out ...

Re: Dog Days of Summer

The Meterboard is back up to date. We now have 52 Freespirits trying to complete the 100K challenge (this figure may go up as late entries of meters come through) and 1 trying to complete the 50k challenge.

Nearly there folks =D> =D>

Re: Dog Days of Summer

Well done for pushing on with this everyone. I will update the meterboard icons at some point over the next day. I’m also going to struggle this week, with limited access to the ergo given other commitments. The only way I can see doing this is 3x60:00 sessions. 1 down and 2 to go. Sent from my iPho...

August CTC -100m/200m/300m/400m/500m/400m/300m/200m/100m with 1 minute rest

My one and only rule of rowing: no matter how bad it gets, do not HD!! Boy did I need that one today. Yesterday I decided against this session when I just didn't feel strong during bursts in the warm up. I had exactly the same feeling today, but decided it was "all in the mind" and decided...

Indoor Rowers League 2021-22

Much to my surprise the Indoor Rowers League is running again this season. Last year I spotted this very late and we scrambled a team together with some people missing out on the opportunity to join. At least we have a couple of weeks to get organised and the whole of September to log initial result...

Re: August CTC -100m/200m/300m/400m/500m/400m/300m/200m/100m with 1 minute rest

I intended to do this today, but even during my warm up I couldn't generate anything like the required rating and pace, so I decided against it and put in some gentle meters towards the Dog Days of Summer instead. I sense a mental block on the horizon [-X #-o

Re: Dog Days of Summer

The Meterboard has been updated and 70 Free Spirits are still in the running for the 100K with Collette Lancaster-Lockwood also still in the 50K. This number may go up as some people update meters rowed last week. I may struggle to finish this challenge after all; my shoulder has a niggle which mean...

That's a great session from someone who is tired Spider. 36 minutes of increasing rating and no rest is always going to be tricky. =D> =D>

107 Free Spirits made it through week 1 of the 100K Dog Days challenge and Collette Lancaster-Lockwood is our only entry for the 50K.

Where will we stand at the end of week 2??

Re: The Pete Plan etc

I’ve been out of sorts on the erg lately. Stroke just didn’t feel effective and HR was way higher than expected for most rows. Today was nothing special in terms of session.m (3x12k r20/22/20 1:30r @ UT1/2/1), but for the first time in weeks I felt comfortable again. So, happy days (for now). https:...

Re: The Pete Plan etc

You guys put me to shame! But I plough on. I feel like I have somehow lost a touch of fitness. That was confirmed today when I repeated a Rowalong mid-tier 5k session. I targetted the same pace as last time I did this session. I managed this but just couldn’t keep the HR down and was shattered by th...

Dog Days of Summer

Just a reminder that the Dogs Days challenge started yesterday.

https://log.concept2.com/challenges/dog-days

I will set up the challenge icon and refresh it at the end of each week so we can see who is on track to complete the challenge.

Re: The Pete Plan etc

That looks like a solid session Spider. I had a steady 10k as part of the Rowlympics today. R20/22/24/22/20. HR and effort was higher than intended, but an enjoyable session nonetheless. Paddled along to the single scull qualifiers in Tokyo. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20210724/d6935fe37f1f6f89...

Re: The Pete Plan etc

Used some of the Rowlympics sessions today to put together 10min warm up, 30min all in session, 2k cool down. The 30mins was horrid. Blew up in the middle section and limped through but managed to pull back some pace for the last 10 minutes. Smashed my SB from last year (which was soft) and only 90m...
