Re: what training have free spirits been doing today?

Great training! I really admire your swims, Paul. I'm just starting swim training this year.... and a snail is a Ferrari compared to me. Mat about Climbers Gambit: It's a route that was introduced last year along with the "Legends and Lava" route for the baseline and finishline rides of ZA...

Re: what training have free spirits been doing today?

You all train wonderfully diligently! Yesterday I waded up a Sanberg and in the evening a little group ride on Zwift with Coco...it's always nice when you get a badge twice!

Re: Injuries.....:(

Many thanks to all of you! Thx for your wishes and contributions. Yes, it is strange - this whole journey - and I hope things will get back into some kind of order. This little fracture is nothing compared to what I've been through. Maybe it's time to wake up - and recognise that wardrobe in the woo...

Re: Injuries.....:(

The Journey started 6 years ago with an act of stupidity- which leads to an injury, a fracture- and as a consequence the desire to become a highly competitive athlete I trained a lot to fill this desire. If I succeeded or not- a matter of persepective and a viewpoint of the given possibilties one ha...

Re: what training have free spirits been doing today?

Thx so much for your posts. Looks like splendid MTB ride, Ron! Great Race Mat, obviously for me only a just row - in the fantasy world a group ride ! Terrefic row Ian- 50k- that are great meters. And yes Jon, enjoy easy or rest days - they also become more in my training, as a result of a change to ...

Re: About slides

There was a reaction to the votes, I found this idea very reasonable, practicable and wise  : My personal view, in the interests of inclusivity, is that there should be exemptions for medical or other physical problems. Nobody who is going to feature in the top twenty, let's say, individuals o...

Re: what training have free spirits been doing today?

Hey Mat, good to hear from you, nice zwift race - I almost forgot how it feels to race with others on zwift - when it comes to the hard time trials...am I alone in this world...alone? ;-) And that's what this thread is about - so anyone can post here, including swimming, weightlifting, zwifting, kun...

Re: what training have free spirits been doing today?

Yes, I know the Pete Plan thread. Once I followed the plan, I also wrote some results. Any other post following any rowing plan would meet the criteria. Here and there I add an interval session, sometimes it is based on the original PP or modified, since I no longer follow a strict plan I don't post...

Re: what training have free spirits been doing today?

post any training you've done, be it good, bad or indifferent. and then us nosy buggers can start to hurl advice about how you should be pacing yourself and why you should be going even quicker!!! This is a wonderful thread. It needed to be revived. So I'm posting here about my workouts yesterday. ...

Re: Dog Days of Summer

I managed an unexiting entry this year - not much meters, but I made the challenge. Focus the last 4 month was to bring much more colour into my training - so running was more- cycling came to short, indoor rowing ok - but by far not so much than the last 2 years, and I also included open water swim...

Re: LADIES banter/training/motivation thread ??

Oh please, let's talk about it. Let's not fall into the narrow pattern that society has already fallen into: over-correctness and the inability to have open discourse. I have no problem with incognito accounts. I also have one on a training software and also one on FB (disabled at the moment). It is...

Interesting. So I have an imaginary friend. This "friend" said last December, "Look, there's a new member. Imagine, it could be our superhero! This is the Internet. Identities can be hidden. You can walk around with a mask. I think that's fine. My superhero? Here? That impressed me, o...

Thanks Steve, Ian and Tako! I welcome any discussion. So I was not offended. Nonetheless. As I said, one part says yes, slides could give you an advantage over a static, my other [divine] part says no, that's it, with that exclusion this challenge becomes too exclusive, goodbye! It is a "free s...

Re: Training and Music (or other sounds)

my history about music and erging in a few words: - in the begining music was essential, no music - no erging - this led to 1) very loud music at home, other subjects (which for us are merely objects) were outraged 2) the wear of so-called sports headphones (sweat resistant - lol !!!) was enormous. ...
