Excellent!

OMG that is so excellent I want to cry. Also to give you all the passwords to this site so you can do something beautiful.

Is it in php? If so, can we port it to this site? PM me if you want the FTP access details.

250km challenge

I thought I would post my slow progress to this huge target - interested to know how others are doing. I am guessing that Nigel is already there. If I complete 250km I will have my 2 million metres in the bag, so it is quite a nice little challenge for me. Under Summary stats > monthly view all, I h...

I moved this thread to a new forum...

I moved this thread to a new forum because I wanted to post on the 250km challenge and it seemed better to have it linked to but separate from this thread.

I can move it back if people have strong feelings...

Re: Training logs

Gregor, thanks for that. I have Gooners ID detail in my C2 profile but it says "pending". Does he need to do something? Yes, Gregor is a genius - why didn't I think of that!? Gooner needs to type in your ID (from your profile) - then C2 does some sort of cross reference and you get access...

Re: New Site

i am happy to send a donation however much, perhaps we could put it in with the cost of a t shirt / poloshirt and you would be just given yours FOC That makes sense - there is no urgency on my part. And if the shirts are cheaper than £30 I am sure we can persuade Tamsin in to one! Can I make a req...

I was devastated to see that Thomas had done 2km+30mins+2km to stay out of my reach in the standings. As devastated as I was relieved when I realised you had not been away on a ship rowing your legs off, but galavanting round Berlin! I don't think I will stay ahead for ever - I am a teacher and wit...

Scary times...

It is a bit scary to think you are so fit you can "just have another go at lunch time" and post another enormous score.

Well done. Something to aspire to (though not sure I want my lungs to burst).

Re: Spreadsheet

Nothing sinister in this but I am trying to develop a way of weighting the variables (height, weight, age, metreage, etc) so as to produce a handicap type points scoring system. *phew* It must be possible to have people post their logs - there are a few tools that run web sites like php-nuke, postn...

Re: Training logs

Thomas - would it be possible to have such a feature on this site? Hmmm. Possible yes! Anything is possible. But I am not sure what you mean really. Setting up a web site is easy - it took less than an hour start to finish, but if what you mean is a custom way of tracking/displaying times? Ouch! I ...

...if we should have a whole different forum for ELM and CTC related chat?

What do people think?

Re: Website congratulations

Thomas, top man. Good site and very easy even fat finger IT'phobes like me can use it. Do we owe you anything for registration cost etc? I reckon if everyone who wants to dobs me £2 through PayPal (I will add a link some time soon) then it will cover the £30 it cost for the first year. After a ye...

Re: Free Spirits logo

Have you seen the poster ad for the latest CD by Fat Boy Slim? This has a picture of a fat boy with wings. The name of the album is something like "#1. So why try harder?"I'll try and get a picture and post it on here for comments. This is a link to the image on the Amazon.co.uk web site:...

Team/website motto/logo

All web sites have a motto after the site name in the header of the browser. I reckon that is a good starting point. Here are my two suggestions: Free Spirits: Every metre counts. Free Spirits: Fat or thin, fast or slow...just row. As for logo I love the cartoon webberg uses (below) - can we get it ...

The new Free Spirits forum

Well, it seems to work. All at a grand cost of £30 for the first year. Not sure how we can sort out the cost - I paid through PayPal (on money made through odd ebay sales) so it does not hit my real pocket. Maybe people could send £1 to my account using paypal?
