Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

That's a fantastic improvement on a PB only since January! =D> I did feel for the woman next to me - her first time on an erg, and she sits next to the lunatic... This PB is the one that has hurt the most. The pain in my legs, particularly down my calves, was awful, had me walking around at wits end...

Re: Training for BIRC 2010 !

Thanks very much for the tips and encouragement Mat and Jason – I’ll be working hard to try and get a place in Freespirits II (perhaps....) in the next few weeks. I'll go for 6:40 and see how it feels. Given a forthcoming challenge at 2K, I would think there'd be incentive to revisit this distance a...

Re: Training for BIRC 2010 !

Another well disciplined set there Mat. TE 4, is that Polar Training Effect or the Suunto HRM? I have a Polar S720 and managed to dig out the IR USB transmitter yesterday, but there are no drivers for 64bit Windows 7  I'm working towards giving the IP program a go (any tips to a newbie apprecia...

Re: THE SOLIHULL SILVER MILE

As some of you will be aware, we have eight holiday cottages here, all on one location, and which we let throughout the year. For much of the year, these are let for full week bookings, but during the winter period, they are available for short breaks, and at much lower rates. We also have a games ...

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

It is difficult getting back into things knowing you're some way off personal best territory. I'm trying to ignore this and just get on with things! Yes, it´s easier to start with a clean sheet, Jon :!: Welcome, and good luck with your progress :!:  Firstly - Welcome Jon! I think th...

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

Looks like a pretty good session to me Jon, with a nice sprint finish =D> If you haven't got all your previous PBs from a few years ago, it sounds like a good time to reset them, so I think you're right to claim this one as a PB 8) You may not get hooked on chasing PBs, but I'm fairly sure you'll p...

I set out to have an easy evening but put in a little extra effort in the last few hundred metres. When I looked back...

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

Well done! =D> That's a fine time indeed. I had looked at this thread a short while ago and could sense there was a storm brewing in Anglesey. There is nothing quite so frustrating as quitting part way through a distance attempt. Perhaps if you'd not been moving granite, there could have been anothe...
