Dan Burpee spreadsheet next generation
We all know the Dan Burpee Row Pro extractor. You know that Greg and I have been playing with Python to reproduce those colorful graphs of Dan Burpee. In the meantime I have developed this a little further. I will very soon have a web interface where you can upload your row files (CSV, TCX) and crea...

Re: Fitness Matters Training Programme
I'm on the verge of bailing out on it (or at least bailing out on reporting the session results). After an exchange of thoughts re the 18SPM stuff Sam elected to send a a general post containing the words "Dipping in and out won't work " which I've taken as directed straight at me owing t...

Re: Anyone had any SEASON's bests recently?
I did a 500m, just in time to get a >900 nonathlon score before the OTE season ends. The full story is here: http://blog.rowsandall.com/2016/04/25/new-sculls-and-a-hard-500/ I managed 1:33.8. Not sure how I did that 1:31.6 a few years ago. Well, sprint training is only now starting so perhaps I will...

Re: CTC - Ski-ergs, sliders and dynamics
The C2CTC is for fun. No prizes. No money. No rewards points for a stay at the Ritz. It's cool how people around the world join in on behalf of their chosen team. I do the CTC with Free Spirits because this team offers a surprisingly high level of inclusiveness, tolerance, positive feedback, encour...

For me, sliders and dynamics are ok.
Never been close to a ski-erg, so I don't know about that one.

Re: ErgStick and ErgData
That's a bummer in my opinion. Any serious app of today should seamlessly sync/export to the big training log apps/sites, like Strava, Polar, Garmin, SportTracks or others, or feature a tcx export. Both ErgData and ErgStick seem to have a vested interest in NOT doing that. ErgData really wants to g...

Colorfull graphs now in python
Courtesy copy of what I posted in another thread: In the past few days, I have been playing with some Python code that gets data from a TCX file (captured with CrewNerd, for example) and create nice plots. I've also successfully used it to create plots from RowPro CSV files, as well as Painsled (bot...

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?
Nice work sander! I don't know how you guys get your heart rate so high. If I stay around 150 for very long (which is only just into AT for me), I'm panting, wheezing and just want to stop rowing. Thanks. It's genetics. Maximum heart rate is different for everyone, as well as how the heart reacts t...

ErgStick and ErgData
I do too much cross training to be able to use cross fit. The desktop version of Painsled has tcx export - and it is extendable through plugins. I hope the iOS version is similar. You know, as a Free Spirit I want my data to be free. We should really start propagating a standard CSV or TCX file for ...

https://twitter.com/kiwipair/status/702981924529147904 Eric Murray tweeting his work out on a dynamic rate 22. 312W with 5% HR decoupling drift, that could be around or just below 2.0mmol ending lactate  Yeah, he called it a "cruisy session". ^O^ ^O^ ^O^ ^O^ ^O^ ^O^ ^O^ ^O^
