Re: Rowing meets Cycling - Rowing on Zwift
dont get me wrong...i dont say that i am fast...despite the progress in December, i do say: my Avatar is fast ! what effects speed in zwift ? The most important is your wattage output- which can be augmented up to the factor 1.5 with the rowedbiker app, 2nd weight, 3rd height....

Rowing meets Cycling - Rowing on Zwift
ok, just wrote it out of the blue- it is more authentic...but maybe the essential messages are not clear...now the short form without long text: - you can connect the rower with zwift - you need the rowedbiker app - look at the video from John or the other link - you can boost your ftp - and thats t...

Re: January CTC - Mercian New Year pyramid
Hello, yes lactid acid it is...hope you all have fun with it...i dont. Not so happy, but given the circumstances of closen schools and kindergarten, covid stress at work, combining it with very small health issues on my own i am happy again with my result. Re: December ctc - 813m, standing start
Thank you Jon...my guess is that in the final part between 2:11 and 2:32 is a artefact...at high stroke rates even a highly accurate heartrate data via chest strap gets confused...my start was 2x 1/8 length 1x 1/4 and then stayed at 3/4 length for the whole piece...

puhh...at least it is quickly over...had a go today in the morning. congrats to all finishers...every distance hurts fot its own ! And so the 813m does ! Will not do it again. But happy to have a score sub 1:35 which was the goal ! Treated it as a classical fly and die...and so it treated me :-) the...

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?
Thank you all ! It’s a low DF. Did you move it down for the FM or is that normal for you? it become normal to me...usually it is between 95-120 in the longer and revovery distances more close to 100, and 120 in TT, even Sprints i tend to use now 135-145, in 2016 i would have chosen something 180-210...

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?
a first ever go for a distance/time is always a pb, isnt it ? a felt to try that full marathon thing today...first 25k easy...and after that uncharted waters, as the human body is a "Gewohnheitstier", a creature of habit...experienced just a decoupeling of heart rate after that 25km, the l...

Re: I'm new, please help me be faster =)
Your times are fantastic, and I'm sure you've been doing some very long endurance sports. I believe that it is possible to improve your times. But unlike a beginner, this is with a much higher level of knowledge about your previous training, the volume and intensity, your availability of time, your ...

Re: peak force, avg force, DF, stroke rate, cardiac adaption and the role of muscle fiber types
Many thanks for your answers, Strength training of the aging athelete seems to be very important, especially in a sport with a high strength component. But rather as an isolated training, not as an endurance training with strength proportion- like the stroke capped based ctc in January 2019 20min ma...

Re: peak force, avg force, DF, stroke rate, cardiac adaption and the role of muscle fiber types
Thank you both for your answers ! So my theoretically influenceable weakness would be beer, even if only in the form of one mixed drink (Radler ;-)) or one light wheat beer, but frequently... almost every evening, but it's not that bad...one is ok... :-) I am living in Bavaria...you cant say no to o...

peak force, avg force, DF, stroke rate, cardiac adaption and the role of muscle fiber types
Recently I have been thinking a little bit about the physical adaptation mechanisms in sports, especially in endurance sports. What can you do to increase the Vo2max ? How do I train for longer distances ? How to train for shorter distances ? And where do I place the 2000m ? An elementary question f...
