Re: The Pete Plan

250m pyramid today and inspired by Claudius's awesome time I thought I should up my game. Smashed cycle 1 with an average pace of 1:42.0, an improvement of 1.4s! The last 250 was 1.33.8 and felt pretty good.

Re: what training have free spirits been doing today?

Erik, You certainly are going through a tough time and I wish you a full recovery. I have no idea what a CA means in terms of future rowing (rowing with certain HR limits?) but I hope you will be back. It would be great if you keep everyone up to date with your recovery and to misquote Churchill som...

Took yesterday off so missed out a steady state row ahead of today's 4x2k. Not a good idea because it was painful but pleased with the last interval. 0.4 average pace improvement.

This isn't going to get any bragging rights at the Erg Saloon but I'm proud to post my first million meters .

Out of interest, not all my meters are logged on Concept2 because I didn't originally use Ergdata, do people add bulk meters to align the two?

20x100m today. Average pace 0.5s faster than cycle 1 and 17.1s is a new PB by a whisker (0.1s).

Thanks Tako. An impressive list. Given you have PBs at both short and long distances I predict you'll do a clean sweep this season!

Re: June ctc - 10k, no stroke rate restrictions

Well that was a surprise. Decided to extend my Pete Plan steady state row today from 8k to 10k. After starting at c1.58 I got into a nice rhythm and noticed the pace falling so after a few minutes pushed on down to 1.53 still with no intention of posting a CTC time. Then after 4k I thought I might a...

Iain, Good spot and looks like you've found Ian Bee's secret super power 8)
Ian, Well done on the PBs, very nice rowing =D>

Today's 4x1k is my least favourite but a decent improvement, 0.8 faster, than last month's car crash

Re: Signature image generator - bug tracking and information

Hi Thomas, On the basis that the opening thread says I'm duty bound to report... I updated my signature with a new 100m PB but couldn't get the % to update. It didn't matter what format I used eg h:mm:ss.s or ss.s etc. Eventually I took out the low pull results from line 1 and input my 100m times in...

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

Tako, Congratulations on your 500m and 1k PBs both in fantastic times. It would be interesting to see all your PBs in the signature image generator. It'll give me something to aim for  Only recently realised that I had a PB over 100m in mid May of 17.2s. Not exactly earth shattering but I g...

Re: June ctc - 10k, no stroke rate restrictions

Ian, Sometimes I use Concept 2's rankings to get an idea of what might (theoretically) be achievable. For example, input 5k pb and check the percentile, then go to 10k and work out the time for that same percentile. Hope that makes sense. I should add a health warning; the last time I did it was a :...

I'm pleased I don't have the 6x1k in my routine! But today's 5x1500 was pretty hard, not helped by me accidentally rowing 5x5mins last time #-o. Happy with the 0.3 improvement.

A lot of nice rowing, very impressive.

After 3 days off spent eating and drinking I really wish I'd done a steady state session. This was hard, very hard but 1:48.5 was 0.2 faster than the indicative PP time.

Re: The Pete Plan

Max, at lower rates (ie strokes per minute) you should be able to do a 1k at a similar pace as the 10xi'r1', although that is an imptressive rating for a 2k, are you on slide? the speed pyramid suggests that you could better your 2k as well! Iain, Thanks, and apologies I was talking nonsense #-o. M...
