Re: The Interactive Plan (IP)

A little check in. I’m now at the point of the IP where the sessions are introducing TR sessions and verging on AN. The TR sessions to come (I’m looking specifically at week after next’s 3x6min) fill me with dread. There’s definitely a steep ramp up from the mix of UT1 and AT, and it may in fact bre...

You could have had extra points for saying Christopher Walkden, or indeed the film reference. Bang on Plummy.

Thanks - I was humming that all afternoon (which was perversely restful!).

I see Team Guy is in 5th place and Team Philip is 13th - what with the supreme efforts at championships and all the fantastic teams above, its a good month for everyone :)

Thanks Dave. The painful realisation that my 30 minute pace is barely faster than my 10k means that's up next 😞

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

Given the general cardio improvements from the IP, and the recent IRL result for 6344m, my 5k time looked ripe for a test... I thought I should be able to hold 1.57 (maybe a bit less), but I got a little giddy and went out too fast. Held on to 1.56s for the middle of the piece and sprinted for the l...

Re: November CTC - 11x111 r1

I tried to convince myself that I didn't mind if I improved my ctc score this evening, and by rep 8 I was ready to give up. A slither of an improvement (0.7s). Good luck and well done to everyone [emoji847] https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181114/fd3bc1cf84244bc20ee83dbd39124b19.jpg Sent from my V...

Re: Indoor Rowers League 2018 / 2019

Team Guy:

Set out to at least match my 6km pace given the exceptional efforts above, and actually dipped under my 5km pace. Really felt awful, so that might be it for the month....

Re: Indoor Rowers League 2018 / 2019

Don't be too hard on yourself Dave - without wishing to be too glib form is temporary, class is permanent. By comparison, for Team Guy I tacked my attempt on the back of a IP 3x 3min, 3r (TR). Which was not ideal. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181107/041e4796dea4aa10c38500887b9769da.jpg Sent fr...

Re: November CTC - 11x111 r1

That's (again) amazing Guy [emoji847][emoji847][emoji847] Meanwhile I read Max's good advice and promptly did the opposite when sat at the erg. Df too low (137) and scraped in a just about adequate warm up. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181101/c76866433dce0df9b694e4fe607d92c3.jpg Sent from my V...

Re: November CTC - 11x111 r1

With a 1 minute rest a rolling start is going to happen by default! 20s row/1 min rest - doesn't sound too bad (did I just write that!!??) Tried a partial run as my evening warm up, and I couldn't get comfortable enough to get sub 21 seconds per rep. Lots of erg buckeroo, which in a gym raised a fe...

Re: The Interactive Plan (IP)

Thanks Max. In part I need to limit overall times on these sessions (this morning was over an hour and pushed the limits of what I could realistically do in the morning) and in part I'm not really at peace with formal hr zones - resting and tickover rates are dropping on this plan. In short, I reall...

Re: The Interactive Plan (IP)

Well. I thought I'd post a little update, but didn't realise I'd be comparing the same session 20 days apart.... Turns out, even with a lingering sniffle, there's a little improvement (or rather resistance to failure) at the sharp end of hard week 6. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20181025/795005a...
