Re: The Pete Plan

Personally speaking I’m very happy for this PP inspired thread to reside here. Just making an observation. As I said, I get a great deal out of this thread.

Spider - having only been in Free Spirits for four years, I never experienced the heyday of the forum. I think I would have enjoyed it.

Crushy wrote: Wed Jan 20, 2021 12:42 pm Just managed to take 1.4s off of my season/decade best.(More than 10yrs since I did erging, until Covid hit)

Down to 7:17.0 from 7:18.4 (which was actually an extrapolation from my 'Henley' ctc time) set in July.
Like you say - nice to get an improvement, especially at DB! Well done.

Re: The Pete Plan

I love this thread, though it should probably be under "What Training Have I Done Today" or something like that, rather than Pete Plan. Anyway, I read it religiously and pick up lots of great tips such as the recent discussion around UT2 training. I have also been doing quite a lot of UT2,...

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

As I'm a rather competitive person, I was interested how I am doing compared to others. And so I have been ranking some of my workouts the past years on the rankings of concept2. If you want to now how you are doing compared to others in previous years, you can search year by year and remember the ...

I’ll take a look Paul.

[EDIT - Yes you are right. It was using the projected meters you will row from today, rather than the projected meters you will row in total. This should be fixed now. Thanks for pointing this out  ]

Re: January CTC - Mercian New Year pyramid

That's a good effort Spidermac. WE can share a seat in Boat II for a while and look on at Claudius  Looking at your times you look to have paced that very well with some great splits towards the end. There's too much of a gap between us for me to want to give this another bash. Well done =D> =D>

Re: A bit lost after a few years off

If you have a PM5 and new heart monitor then I would go with ErgData. This is Concept2’s own app. It will connect to your PM5 and also your Concept2 id. Once you have it all connected, every session can be uploaded for you to your log book automatically. Just shout if you need help getting everythin...

Challenge Analysers and Nonathlon Analyser

I have made some changes to the VTC analyser, Fall Team Analyser and Nonathlon tools to improve validation of data. Fingers crossed I haven't broken anything. Please shout if anything stops working, all of these tools are now used quite widely across the Concept2 community.

Thanks.

I put in a 309m today which is a bit disappointing, but it was after a 3x20min Zoom Ergos session, so I'm hoping for some improvement later in the month and maybe getting past my PB of 313 (not 213 - thanks Plummy). One more question: Do we have to wait for every post to be approved before it's released? It said I would be advised when it was approved but that never happened. Only if you are new to the forum (e.g. your first two posts) your posts have to be approved (to avoid spam). I just checked, and the lim...

I had a really interesting first experience of Zoom Ergos today. It was a UT2 session involving 3x20min r2:00. The leader was Dave Gillard who rowed for Cambridge 3 times in the Boat Race. He used the first interval to talk about some technique points, and then used the second and third intervals to...
