Another good session Colin. Soooo do you think the back will allow you to manage 6433m for the IRL?

Failing a complete catastrophic meltdown it will get done just don’t expect anything remotely fast

Re: what training have free spirits been doing today?
Paul welcome back mate I think the secret really is about taking it easy with all your Irish records you have nothing to prove just enjoy it for what it is. Today’s sessions Erg and Zwift both went well the Erg was first up with a 4x1000m r2:00 the pm5 did a wobbly on saving the last interval, proba...

Happily feeling better today so just took it easy with an Erg and a zwift session. Jon that looks like a good session may well try that, Spider that also looks a goo...

Re: what training have free spirits been doing today?
Excellent Erging guys well done, day 2 of my 7 day every day. I had to back off today due to back pain following a treadmill session yesterday, it looks like the advancing years are taking their toll, but one must try to keep active.

Re: Indoor Rowers League 2022-23
We are past the mid-month point so it must be time to nag. Having said that FS1 is in good shape with 7 seats full already. I will row next week at some point which will give us a full boat with Felton in reserve. FS2 is half full, so a few more times needed to get a full boat by the end of the mon...

Hi Peter how are you, long time no see matey, re the pic resize question why do you ask is the image oversized or something looks OK my end. I’m really having problems can’t even log into the c2 forum let alone the CTC site. I think an old defunct email address may be the cause.

Sat on the Erg for a pre warmup for a 1 hour Zwift session decided the CTC would probably be more enjoyable so did that instead. All went well until I tried to load the time into the CTC site over an hour later and still won’t let me log in, is Dougie still the guy at the CTC ?

Re: what training have free spirits been doing today?
Mat are you off the front or the back in the above pic either way well done =D> . Zwift very tempted to sign up again especially as my Trainer road ramp test put me at 2.51 watts/kg this morning, that's cat C which is a first for me on Zwift, amazing what losing 10 kg does. As my weekly training inv...

A line in the sand as I really wanted to get a result, quite pleased with that last one as it was only just a second or two slower than my seasons best.

Re: Indoor Rowers League 2022-23
Ow that hurt, inspired by what appeared to be a small gap to free spirits 1 did a couple of 4 min warm ups targeting a 2:00 split with the intention of finishing in a blaze of 1000m glory.
Result utter failure, sorry guys and gals promise to do better next time.
It was good fun thou I think.

A381FB31-D984-4347-B8E9-4951D4AC2BDA.jpeg decided to have another go at this starting with the first 4 intervals at last times average, then neg split the remainder judging by my state of exhaustion after the last I felt I gave it a good go. Well done everyone who had a go at this I did try to get ...

Re: Indoor Rowers League 2022-23
Cheers Mat yep that just about summed it up. Will probably go again but use a negative split based on the average and try to suffer a bit more in the middle bit. Good luck with the ttt, team tts are great if you are one of stronger riders but shear hell if you happen to be the slowest counting finis...

Re: Indoor Rowers League 2022-23
I’m torn between guessing 4 minutes and channeling my inner mr T … “Prediction?? I predict… pain.” Ha Ha I much appreciate the 4 mins sadly the writing was on the wall around 1:30 in but just held on to halfway then after the predictive finish had settled I held that to the end. (961m) Sent from my...

Re: Indoor Rowers League 2022-23
Hi people just signed up to this as I need a bit of motivation. Around 10 years since I last tried this, no idea what to go for but I'm thinking along the lines of 1005m as a predictive finish and keep going or crash and burn trying anyone care to guess how long I last
