Re: Musical Opinions - add yours here :-)
Don't worry JR, you're still my number 1. Both were excellent. Flo was vocally amazing but I enjoyed Mrs Bat more, a pounding drum machine and her pixie folkesque musings were very complimentary. First time I'd been to the Roundhouse. Classy joint and quite small so felt very intimate.

Re: Fantasy Football
Thank you chaps. Yes Senor Fab did help. He was only half my points though. I'm trying not to be a one man team. I actually chose my players by researching their use of the erg.

Got to say it's a very good set up. Much more interesting than the Telegraph one. Still getting the hang of it. Well done Mr Webber.

Re: The Pete Plan
Hello boys. Some great times from all of you! I'm jogging along in the background. Illness and holiday have knocked me back but now disciplined again so trying to get it back. Lost a bit of stamina so I've cut sprints down to six reps and each week doing the 2k but only 3 sessions instead of four. T...

Ignoring the slings and arrows of Mr Webber I'd just thought I'd inform you I've joined the league. It took me ages to work out what to do so I'm a week behind in terms of points. So I've given you a head start. Let battle commence.
Come on you rip roaring Reds.

Re: Had a bad day? ......... Tell us about it
Sorry to hear your news. Still she had a longer innings than Ravi Bopara will ever have. I have had a number of bad days recently. Rowed 2k with 7.10 in mind. Gave up after 1k. Went on holiday to Ibiza. Had my briefcase stolen within twenty minutes of arriving at hotel. Contained mac, 2 ipods, money...

Welcome back Den-J. Good luck with the programme. This is for me day 3 without rowing. Legs feel dead and have a lovely sweat even if i do the mildest exercise (like typing this #-o .) Will give it another day and then have a row. Will give your 70% 30 min 20spm a go as I'm very bad at that type of ...

30mins today 7569 1.58.9. Thought about yesterday and lack of drive (literal) in my legs. My only excuse did a 7 mile run in my fastest time on Sunday so I'll use this as my excuse

Well done Spidermac, very impressive, especially as iain says you haven't been rowing much
I myself had a shocker 14.04.9 for 8 x 500. Lost my legs on set 7 and rowed 1.50.6 for last rep. Bad day at black rock.

Just popped in to say hello. I've just signed up for BIRC this year. It looks like everyone is doing incredible times in their training. Please don't turn off the lights when you've finished as I'll still have 250m to do
See you in November.

Cheers Stan and Mr Grobi. Psychologically still fear this session as it never gets easier. Will stick to trying to hold it for first seven and then going for it last one. Today was the first time I've mananged to go under 1.45. Hopefully that will get me inspired. Before my holiday on 22.07 I need t...

8x500
Managed to get under 1.45 splits for 7, had a blip on penultimate and came in 1.45.1.
Overall time 13.58.9
Last three I set off slower (1.47.3-5) and sprinted the last 250m. Is this advisable? Or should I be maintaining a steady state throughout or doesn't matter shut up Neil etc etc etc

Go to Puerto Pollensa, it's lovely. Really great place for kids and some lovely restaurants including a brilliant tapas on the front. Nice beach and a very very gradual falling away into the bay so the kids are very safe
