Nice to hear from you Ian. I hope you are well. I can see from the Meterboard you have been plugging away.

Re: Holiday Challenge

Well done Fred. 200k so early is pretty impressive. It looks like that also got you your 1 million metres for the season too.

I’ll get my 100k this week. Hoping to get double snowmen on the Meterboard this year.

Some good times on the board already =D> =D>

My row is written up on the PB forum post. 19:18.7 for me, so that's an adjusted time of 17:26.9 for you to chase Peter :fswink:

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

Thanks all. I fear I may have set an unnecessarily high bar for the IRL next month now #-o Well it had to be done. Today was a "hard" Pete Plan day and so it was also the day of my first 5k effort for IRL. A number of you commented that there looked to be an opportunity to improve on my r...

Re: Forum and Website Uprgrade this weekend

The upgrade is complete and everything should be back to normal. Please shout if that isn't the case.

This was a relatively minor update so there aren't any features that you should notice any change to.

Forum and Website Uprgrade this weekend

The forum and website software needs a quick upgrade. I will take the site down for a while at some point over the weekend. Hopefully it shouldn't take too long to complete. [-o<

Re: Holiday Challenge

Thanks all for the comments. Sorry it has taken me a while to come back to this post. I'm used to long bike rides - the furthest I did was Liverpool - Grimsby - yes that really is an elapsed time over 12 hours. So I know what I can and can't tolerate when it comes to food and drinks. I have always s...

Re: Indoor Rowers League 20/21

Well done folks. We managed to end the month with a full set of 10 entries. This is a great achievement at both ends of the spectrum. Some of us are struggling with time and/or fitness at the moment and yet still managed to enter a result for the team. Others are flying along and helped to give us o...

Re: Indoor Rowers League 20/21

Entered a pro-rated time from best 30 min this month (actually a sprint session), didn't realise that you could join part way through and included 1:20 stationery until saw Colin entered a few days ago. So sorry for not contributing before. Not a great time, but ran out of time to do this. Not show...

Re: Meta-nonathlon 2020-2021

P.S. I still haven't found the intermittent error where scores are not updated. Anyone who writes code will know that when you see a comment in the code like "No need to do X because Y will have taken care of this" your instincts are that the developer knew this was possibly not true, oth...

Re: Anyone had any SEASON's bests recently?

Despite being very wary about sprinting I decided to try and garner a few Nonathlon points on probably my weakest score - the 1000m with a 3:46.6. Set the DF lower, which in retrospect was a bad idea as I don't have the fitness to keep the rate high. A fairly hard effort, but certainly not full out...

Peter - I am full of admiration for all of that effort to chase down my adjusted time and improve your time by 7 seconds. I have to admit I rarely have the mental strength to go 100% at an event when I think I am already at or close to my limit for it. Great stuff ^O^ ^O^ =D> =D>

Holiday Challenge

The holiday challenge started today and runs to Christmas Eve. The challenge icons are set up (I hope) and I may play with a little tool to predict distance etc. I’ve decided to try for my first FM at the end of the challenge, slowly building up the distances over the next four weeks. I started with...

Good rowing there Mr S. You topped me by a whopping 70m. I would have another go, but this one really hurts, and I can't see me closing that gap!! So, you have a well deserved seat in Boat II. Also, well done Lesley. Straight into Boat I and helping to get another boat on to the virtual water =D> =D...

Not a big deal, but could you add this feature to the total as well, would be good to see how close we are to those around and whole percentages don't tell the full story. This wasn't quite as trivial as I had expected, but should be working now. I don't think the result is what you were ...

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

This row shows both how little I understand my rowing ability (what I am and am not capable of) and also that all of the training that I am doing is actually having an impact. Today was a Pete Plan "hard" session. Given IRL has a 5k next month, I thought I would use that distance for a sim...

Re: Meta-nonathlon 2020-2021

I sometimes find the colour coding of the Meta-nonathlon a bit confusing. It gets most confusing around 100 points where it is possible to be yellow (exactly 100), orange (above 97.5 and below 100) or light green (above 100 and below 102.5). To help a little I have changed the display, if you hover ...

We still have just five rowers who have entered a time. I'm hoping the rest of the team are saving their best performances for the end of the month??
