Re: Meta-nonathlon 2020-2021
Thanks for fixing this Jon, although we still do not completely know what the problem was/is. Maybe the analyser only accepts your command to update :D The 500m were pure coincidence. I updated my hour yesterday with the same (non) effect but didn‘t want to bother you again. Peter - when you access...

It has been a while since I put an update here rather than leaving people to look on the site. Paul has shot up from mid table to 2nd [emoji1320][emoji1320] Peter and Steve have also made some ground. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20201119/f575efc877660761236b3b55ba27e954.jpg Sent from my iPhone ...

Re: Meta-nonathlon 2020-2021
This is a really odd one, and unfortunately is being made difficult to fix because of the "observer effect". I can see in our Nonathlon Analyser database that your score had not been updated, which is why your Metanonathlon score was incorrect - it was using the old score from the database...

Re: Book club
His Dark Materials (which I can't decide is either brilliant or rubbish). My view Book 1 and 2 - brilliant. Book 3 - what on earth happened!!?? Rubbish in my opinion. My Christmas Break reading will be the two Book of Dust prequels that are now out. I have treated myself to both of them in hardback...

Re: peak force, avg force, DF, stroke rate, cardiac adaption and the role of muscle fiber types
Claudius, This is way beyond my comprehension of physiology and training. In terms of what I am focussing on: I have definitely shifted towards larger volumes of UT2 training, towards the top of that range, which is around the 75% HRMax that you mention in your post. I used to do far more work close...

Thirteen Days Remaining
We have a great set of results so far this month. Five rowers have entered a time, so we need at least three more to fill the boat

Re: Tapatalk upgrade
Do you recommend mobile users install 'Tapatalk'? I've avoided it until now, another app, another logon etc ... It has its fans. Personally, I don't really like the user interface, but it does make insertion of images into forum posts very easy, which is about all I use it for. I know Tako was a bi...

Re: Meterboard 2 - bugs and feature requests
Hi Jon, there seems to be a discrepancy with my C2 log and the meter board. Log shows 931,622 so for some reason the mtb is giving me some extra meters :-k I'm not too worried about it, but thought you'd want to know (and I won't claim my 1M m until it actually happens :-) ) Cheers, Steve EDIT : ju...

Re: Indoor Rowers League 20/21
Can someone give me an idiot's guide to posting a monitor pic 🙈🙈🙈 Peter your predictions were good 👍 23:33.5 R25 but a monitor pic would explain it so much better than I could. The easiest way (in my opinion) is to access the forum using tapatalk and just insert a photo of the monitor from your pho...

Re: Travel tips needed
I don't usually dip into the Sanctuary, so I missed this I'm afraid. We spent a month in NZ quite a long time ago and had a fabulous time. We spent most of our time on the North Island given we only had a month, and didn't get any further South than Christchurch on the South Island. We moved around ...

Re: NOVEMBER 2020 - CTC
Well I finally convinced myself to have another go at this after the previous attempt was lost when the PM5 crashed. #-o As discussed in this thread, I had in mind a 2k-2 row, probably trying to alter the pace slightly between the different length sessions. It went pretty well with the following fig...

Re: Training to lower heart rate
Biggest thing you need is time and heaps of patience. Lock your ego in the bathroom before any session because the only number you look at is HR then possibly spm. See my comment only today in the Pete Plan thread! My "easy" sessions are ones I try to row in UT2 with 70% HR max as the cap...

Re: The Pete Plan
You guys are in a different league to me when it comes to analysing and understanding your training ^O^ ^O^ My "easy" sessions are ones I try to row in UT2 with 70% HR max as the cap (not average). I try to row these at an 18-22 rating. I am getting far better at these, where better = not ...

Thanks for all the hard work. Sorry to be a pain, but something strange happened to the entry for Collette Lancaster-Lockwood on metreboard. It appears to be applying last year's code! Not at all motivated by giving you coding to do to sabotage your rowing to give me a chance to close the gap in pa...

Great row and a well deserved improvement!
I normally think I feel good after the first interval of most rows, but that usually turns out not to be true [emoji2361]

Re: Indoor Rowers League 20/21
After my rage at the CTC session crashing my PM5 I have had a couple of days off the ergo #-o Anyway, that meant I was rested and was quite optimistic about this one, but I was determined not to over do it. My 5k SB is at a pace of 2:01. So I decided to try to hold that pace for as long as possible ...

Re: NOVEMBER 2020 - CTC
My thinking on this is that the rest after the first interval should allow this to be done pretty fast (although not all out), got stung on 3' intervals today, they are tougher than you would think. Thinking 2k-1 perhaps for that with 2' maybe 2k-3 for first and try and better that for the second a...

Re: NOVEMBER 2020 - CTC

I was pushing along through this at 2k-2 and was just about hanging on when, half way through interval 4 (ie having done the hard bits), the PM5 reset itself. Temper tantrum ensued!
