Re: Meter board banter

Am I seeing a conspiracy here or is it just coincidence that the C2 site is down for 'maintenance' at the same time!!!

Re: Music Festivals - who's going?

Going to Cornbury Festival again in July. Been the last couple of years, definately my sort of thing....not too big (you can actually see the artists strumming etc.) loads of access routes so no jams, excellent beer tents, reasonable line-up with much support given to local Oxfordshire 'up and comin...

Re: Laser Eye Surgery

Andy, only just seen this post as having been a tad busy lately. I had both eyes 'done' over 2 years ago. I took the view that if I was going to have it done then the cost would not be an issue, so in total it was about £2600 or thereabouts. For that I had two initial consultations where the same te...

Re: Tell us about your Holiday plans

There's a particular place in Italy that 'Mrs' and I want to go to, to celebrate a future anniversary.

So yesterday I booked it....for June 2011

Is this a record for forward planning?

Re: CTC for August

Encouraged by all the previous posts and people surprising themselves with good times on this, decided to give it at least one attempt. 3000 - 12.48.0 2000 - 8.08.9 1000 - 3.49.8 Total - 24.46.7 Feel I could certainly pick up the pace on the 3 and the 2. A realistic target for me would be around 24 ...

Re: Fantasy Football

So the new season is off and running, fantastic :!: Highlights so far.... A great performance from the gooners, a lucky winner from Drogba but they all count, Rafa having a go at the officials - nothing new there and the Top Stat. is that I'm in the top third of the worldwide fantasy league...468,41...

Re: Football thoughts

No offence meant about the 'in-boughts' Stan. I'm a firm believer that you can spend all the money you like but unless you have a top coach to blend the ego's together you get no-where fast, which is exactly what Chelsea found both pre and post Mourinho. A good friend of mine is Man U thru and thru....

Re: Football thoughts

Good to see the Boys in Blue carrying on where they left off. First trophy of the season safely stashed away =D> =D> Not so sure about the season to come though...if Sparky Hughes can get all those 'in-boughts' working together then maybe the blue side of Manchester could be the dark horses come nex...

Re: .. and you think you know somebody

The one thing you haven't taken into account and which may end up earning decent 'Brownie points' is that you can't put a price on TIME. Time getting to the gym. Time signing-in. Time changing when you get there. Time spent using another (lesser) pieces of equipment while you're there. Time cooling ...

Off to Arizona with our golf clubs next month. Just checked, it's currently 34 degrees....at midnight  Hey Kingy, that Canadian trip sounds fantastic. Don't know if you'll have the time but if you do, pre-book dinner in the CN Tower in Toronto. I guarantee it'll be a great finale to the trip :...

Definitely first thing in the morning, after a coffee kickstart of course!

If early work gets in the way then late afternoon is OK but it does take longer to get motivated

I was the other way round Thomas. Finished work at 1am (sad on a sunday night but there we are!), got home still feeling wide awake so ended up watching to the end. Fantastic. Is it just me or is this year's soccer Premiership shaping up to be the closest for a long time. Firstly, you've got the usual suspects going for the top honours but with the gooners having a slip-up, the Mancs handing out a thashing and the fantastic boys in blue waiting in the wings it's going to ...

Nice one Neil. As we all know people get their motivation from numerous places in this team...11 metres...peanuts for a tasty geezer like yourself. As for me, it's the realisation that despite Michelle putting in a great time to be in FS1, she has beaten me by 19m....I can feel the male competitive ...

Back in the very early 90's I got my back severely bruised in a fight at work (think john wayne bar brawl) and part of the resulting physio etc was to row 1000m in 8 mins!!!

That sowed the seed and having just posted 7.29 on CTC I seem to have progressed a little.

Having seen the Police at Cardiff a couple of weeks ago, I feel I must leap to their defence especially as until seen live (for the second time) you don't realise just how good a guitarist Andy Summers is. As for other stuff on the ipod, Stan has it right with 70's and 80's mainly but with a few mor...
