Re: 2021 Weight Loss thread

Well done Paul. That’s great progress. And that’s one hell of a long walk - 44k  ^O^ =D> ^O^ It would take me around 8 hours to walk that distance (that’s assuming I didn’t collapse along the way). Thanks Paul - I am happy with the recent progress - I have got re-motivated and am really enjo...

Re: 2021 Weight Loss thread

Slow and steady, and consistent, will get you there Paul - I found that an hour or so walking every day works wonders, especially if you can't really do much erging at the moment. For me, I had another good week - once again, not a massive amount of erging, one long walk on Saturday(44km) and sensib...

Re: 2021 Weight Loss thread

Well done Paul! 89.6 kg, is that a PB for your adult live? Don‘t overdo it though, you don‘t want to become lightweight, do you? No danger of that happening 😃😃 Not an adult PB but the lowest since my mid-30s. In my twenties in my running and triathlon days I weighed 73kg and ate at least twic...

Wow Paul 120k walk over two day !! 48 k for a Saturday stroll 😂 Doesn't sound to bad on the erg either 👍 I'm always amazed by your DF 🙈 I'm going to start building in more pace to my training in June. I think it's going to be a shock 😂🙈😂 I'm sure you'll cope   Probably less erging for me ...

Re: May ctc - 200 seconds, standing start

Ist row in nearly a month. Picked up an injury v.early May and then a combination of hayfever/asthma which needed steroids to get under control. 928 nearly killed me and nearly triggered the asthma again. ;-( I looked at the pace before starting and thought to target 1:37 then read the bit about pa...

Re: Strength training(on and off the erg)

Nice, Kevin - you are really getting back into it now. I've had a fairly quiet week erging wise - I did a 48.5 km walk on Saturday, my furthest to date.I am planning to do the round the island walk on 2 July over 2 days(approx. 120km in total) so trying to prepare for that. On the erg I have been tr...

Re: 2021 Weight Loss thread

I'm going to try to weigh in on the same day each week in order to provide a like for like comparison. Seeing as how I tend to misbehave to a greater extent over the weekend than during the week, doing it on a Monday morning is probably a good way to try to keep me honest. Small improvement this we...

Very quick, and very correct, Paul G. =D> I was worried that the song apparently did not chart in the UK or South Africa. Re: Strength training(on and off the erg)

Looks like you are enjoying the BikeErg, Kevin. Steady progress for me - had a few days break from erging over the weekend where I did a 26km and a 24km walk - came back to the rower refreshed and managed my furthest distance ever on max df(350) yesterday - an HM, and did my quickest 10km since my C...

Re: what training have free spirits been doing today?

Had probably my best row since my CA last year, as well as the longest row I have ever done on max DF. I know that RPE is a very subjective measure, but I reckon I was a 3-4 RPE today - it all felt very relaxed and easy and it seems like the long walks I have been doing recently are starting to bear...
