Re: 2020 weight loss thread

Inspired by my wife who has recently lost a lot of weight and is looking even more gorgeous than before, I have decided to get back into some decent shape - I have never had a problem doing the exercise, my issue is the amount of food I eat, so I am trying to cut down my intake. Had my first weigh-i...

Re: Mind, body and soul - a musical journey

Do I remember Paul that the Dropkick Murphys used to appear on some of your playlists. Our eldest son lives in Boston now and two years ago went to see them at the home of the Boston Bruins (ice hockey) for a St Patricks Day gig. Looking at his video it was just an insane gig. Maybe I was being a b...

Re: Mind, body and soul - a musical journey

I do seem to recall Mr Gould being a long haired head banger and the music choice confirms that. (Well aware that the long hair days are well in the past!) Wolfie, as you said mainstream. Don't worry - nobody's listening so expand your horizons! Graham, I will have to bring your powers of recall in...

Re: August ctc : 2020 in pieces - 4 x 505m with 2 minutes rest, and take the time of your slowest 505m interval

Last minute go for me - first time on the erg in well over a month - just moved house, which is very stressful, and I tweaked my back moving boxes when packing. Set a target of 2:00.0 which I hit spot on in the first rep, so I had to just try and improve in the subsequent sets - managed 1:58.4, 1:58...

Its a Wigan band formed in 1990 - the lead singer(who now has a successful solo career) performed an acoustic set at the IOW festival last year when he had to go on early because Jess Glynne was too drunk to perform!!
