Re: what training have free spirits been doing today?

Would be nice to join such a Zoom session once as well. The one yesterday would not have been a good idea. The C2 is in a room next to our bedroom, in which my wife was still asleep. She would not have been happy with that. After a telephone-interrupted attempt yesterday to row my ninth nonathlon ev...

Re: Anyone had any SEASON's bests recently?

With the holiday challenge going on I have to make meters and decided to set a score for the IRL. My season's best should be easy to beat, had rowed a 6K with a faster pace earlier this week. Had a goal in mind, 19:20, and unlike Peter I kind of sticked to it though it felt relatively comfortable. T...

Re: Free Spirits CTC Participation and Leaderboard

Hi Peter, I thought C2CTC only had the categories F for female, L and H for light or heavy weight men. Didn't think there was a difference between light and heavy weighted females. But perhaps that was never necessary because of the smaller number of FS ladies participating. As for the motivation yo...

Re: Free Spirits CTC Participation and Leaderboard

The top 3 was all in boat 1, so no changes there. Jon made it to #5, let's see who has the best 500m. Mat is pretty sure of his first position, you can take it very easy on that 500m, Mat. Somehow I don't think you will. 25 participants, just like last year. One shiny new participant, Barbara G. The...

Re: Indoor Rowers League 2022-23

New attempt from me as well. About ten seconds faster, creeping towards the 25 minutes: 25:04.5
Still coughing a bit, I think that 25 min mark can be reached.
In the mean time using the 6k mark to get some more nonathlon points everytime.

I agree with Draggon, the thread makes me smile as well. Tremendous results. Great to read.
Congratulations to the both of you.

Re: Free Spirits CTC Participation and Leaderboard

The October scores are online. There is quite a gap between Mat and #2. But numbers 2, 3 and 4 are extremely close, with Peter climbing from 4 to 2 this month. Congrats, Peter. 25 participants, and all on board. Nice. Good luck in November. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1aaWKji7QA0nnQd9ymFL...

Didn't particularly like this one, surprisingly enough, so I don't know whether there will be a second attempt this month.

Equally interested in the results.

Re: Indoor Rowers League 2022-23

An early entry this month, wanted to see whether a sub 2 min pace was possible, made it to 25:14.2, pace 1:59.3.
And room for improvement.

Re: Indoor Rowers League 2022-23

Considering that a poor score is better then no score I just wanted to finish the distance today. Had no idea what I was capable of so took it kind of slow.
Finished in 6:19.5. When I find time the next couple of days I should be able to go faster then that.
One more seat filled at least in FS1.

Re: Free Spirits CTC Participation and Leaderboard

A bit late again, I have been on holiday, and didn't want to spent too much time behind a laptop overthere. September counted 28 participating Free Spirits. A few more then the months before. Lesley climbed to #2, great, and IIngrid entered the top 10. I think these are the most remarkable results t...

Re: Indoor Rowers League 2022-23

Achieved my goal today, which was 1100 meters. Reached 1112 today, which was painful enough to make this the last attempt for this month.
Still number 1, FS1, but previous seasons showed that there were a lot of late entry's. Well, not bad anyway, and great rowing so far I think.

Re: Indoor Rowers League 2022-23

After having done quite a tough work-out decided it was time for my 2nd attempt here. Single goal: better then the first one. Rowed 1070 now, 1055 last time, so for now that's okay. Hope to reach at least 110 before the end of the month.

Re: Injuries.....:(

Well, the hopes to avoid joining this thread for a while got crushed a few weeks ago. Neck/shoulder/arm trouble is back for full and painful. So no meters for a while from my end. Which also kills my pb project for BRIC. Hope to be still going (as it would be my first race event), if it happens thi...

Re: New Challenge - Workout of the Day (WOD) Week Challenge

Jon, I see you've already introduced a symbol for this challenge, great, thanks. Earned mine today on day 6 with a workout I thought was rather tough. The description on the site: 16 intervals of 20 seconds work, with 10 seconds rest. Then rest for 3 minutes. Repeat the 16 intervals of 20 seconds wo...

Re: Injuries.....:(

All the best, Claudius.
Had an obligatory rest period of six weeks recently as well, once you're back you'll reach your old level quickly I think. Considering your commitment.
A pity though you'll miss that event.

Re: New Challenge - Workout of the Day (WOD) Week Challenge

I thought today's was quite a tough one, but it went alright. Tomorrow I don't have much time I think, but only have to do it two more days to meet the challenge. And that won't be a problem I think.

Re: New Challenge - Workout of the Day (WOD) Week Challenge

Day 3 already of this challenge. Should you start participating today you can still earn a certificate, though I don't think many FS's will join, I think most of them have their own schedule, plan or whatever. Me, I'm more or less improvising on the ERG so it's easy for me to join this one. Somethin...

Re: Indoor Rowers League 2022-23

Finished for today. Made it to 1055 mtrs, but this is after the WOD (4 x 3 min) and CTC. So improvement before the end of the month should be possible when I focus on this one.
Now time for a shower and then I'm going to watch my son playing football. Enjoy the sun.

Re: September ctc - 8 x 2‘ / 2‘r

Abbr's day today. Started out with the WOD, now did a CTC, and plan to do an IRL later on as well. In the CTC finished with exactly the same number of meters as Simon A, but of course, with him being the first to reach it, just missed boat 1. In which I wouldn't have stayed very long I presume.

Re: Free Spirits CTC Participation and Leaderboard

Welcome in the CTC, JBH :fswink: Twenty-five entries this month, very evenly spread over five floating boats. Not a bad month considering the scores. As far as I see the best #1, #2, #3 and #4 position this year. With Matthew a bit out of reach for now, the 'battle' for the second place is close. Go...

Re: Dog Days of Summer

Just like Mr. P. I didn't want too much pressure on the weekend. Sunday OTW probably, had the time this afternoon so did the WOD. Since the rest meters are counted as well for the challenge I ended out spot on 40000 meters for this week in the Dog Days logbook. And, for now, ranked #1 in my age grou...

That's right. I installed Ergdata and you just click on WOD and you can start the workout.
