Re: Indoor Rowers League 2019/2020

In the current month’s results I see two unteamed Free Spirits. When they want would it be possible to create two teams? Or is it still not enough then?
The people concerned are Louise Allcock and Chris Newberry.

Second attempt today. About 15 seconds faster then the first one, especially the last rep was faster. The first time that was merely surviving, this time my goal was to keep the first two reps approximately the same pace as before, and gain some in the last. This went according to plan. ctcsep192.JPG

Re: Free Spirits CTC Participation and Leaderboard

I have updated the table. Added July and August. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1aaWKji7QA0nnQd9ymFLH3Vm1_5Y5cGfmpo2RlTM8sPg/edit?usp=sharing The 'previous' column shows the standings of June, which was more simple then showing those results for August as compared to July. Tako is still in t...

Re: AUG CTC - 'Dog Days Double Double'

After a week and a half getting a bit in shape again I thought I would give it a try. Certainly didn't think to go faster then Peter already. Was aiming for a first rep in a 1:50 pace and a second in 1:45. Thought the third one would be slower but felt relatively comfortable at the pace I was going....

After taking it very slow on the ERG I thought I should have at least one go on this month's ctc. It went better than expected, perhaps I could go a bit faster on the first 500 but since I'm going on holiday next saturday I don't think there's much room for a second one.

Re: June ctc - 20 x 300m / 1'r

Dank je wel Fred, for a nice target. Graag gedaan Tako :fswink: I certainly find this a tough one. And rather time-consuming. I didn't have time for a decent warming-up, but wanted to see how it would be anyway. And see how my hip feels tonight and tomorrow. Fun to see that I was the first one to e...

Re: June ctc - 20 x 300m / 1'r

I took it slow on this month’s challenge because of a bursitis trochanterica, I’m afraid the june challenge won’t be to pleasant as well.

Re: Nonathlon 2019

I find my 6th 900+ score this season worth an entry here... The 500m was my weakest score, but went from 894 to 903 (1:32.7 to 1:31.8). Just before the closing of the season.

Re: Indoor Rowers League 2018 / 2019

Saturday I'm going away for a week, so I wanted to give this one a try before that. Afterwards it might be a bit more difficult. Managed a SB, so I'm pretty happy with it.
1:31.8, and glad it was over of course. Especially my upper legs were...

I recently bought myself a Polar OH1 which wears around the arm instead of the chest. Up till now I'm quite happy with it, quite comfortable.

Re: APRIL CTC - single 1500m

Another go today. Wanted to have a negative split but the beginning went (too) easy. Slowed down a little in the middle, then a bit faster again, and in the end, well, glad I made it. Bought myself a new PM5 monitor and a heart rate monitor, so now I can keep an eye on my heart rate as well again. T...

Re: APRIL CTC - single 1500m

At first I had the intention to try and make it to boat 1 today, but my legs (and the rest of my body) felt a bit tired so I decided to start a bit slower then I had in mind. I am glad I did, because it was struggling to get to the finishline. I think I will feel better later this month, so I think ...

Re: APRIL CTC - single 1500m

Wanted to do only three 6 minute intervals today and thought this might fit in well as the middle one. Divided it in 6 splits, my goal was to start at a 1:55 pace and go a second faster every split.
Well, the finish was spot on...
