Split times
Jessica-Red, I have a new “D” and still have my “C”…..they sit side by side…..I agree with you that the “D” feels harder to pull…my splits have slipped as well…on the plus side, it is great to have a new slide….it’s much smoother and glides better than my “C”. (I’m thinking about getting new rollers...

more counting
I was/and still am a counter, too. I began counting at the end of a long row as I reached that point when my body was screaming “JUST STOP”. To forgo the screaming muscles and tired bum and limbs, I counted my pulls to distract me from thinking about stopping. Last summer when I began rowing the rea...

Recovery Time between Intervals
Hi.... While I was researching training programs, I came across the following info in an article from the magazine "Rowing News". It described how recovery time based on heart rate can affect training......Here is what it said..... Full recovery between intervals can be considered as taken...

Re: the Pete Plan
The one query I have remaining is about the bit in quotes above. He suggests total rest and then says that it can be active or inactive. This appears a bit contradictory. Does he mean that it's OK to keep rowing during the rest intervals provided you do so at a really slow pace or am I missing the ...

I took some time this weekend to summarize the "Pete Plan" with help from Stan who helped me find it....so thought maybe others would like to give it a go.....I consolidate some of the tips Pete has given to other rowers and included the initial plan he offered in the C2 UK forum. Here it ...

Hi Joe.... I have a cover for my rower....I got it from C2.....I'd recommend using one for your rowers if you keep'em outside.....you definitely don't want the chain and flywheel to collect too much moisture and I'd think a cover would protect it from dew and showers. I use my cover mostly to keep d...
