Re: what training have free spirits been doing today?

My phone went off and told me to self isolate for a week. So with nothing else to do I've been hitting the rower more than normal. Been doing some big calorie burners - which is a good thing as I've been doing some big eating and drinking lately!! I've tested negative so back to work next week and b...

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

It was just some weeks ago...i asked myself- will you ever do those 100k ? The answer was no. But on Saturday there was a unique opportunity. If i have a free Saturday i normally do something with the family or go out for a ride with the bike. For some reasons it was meant to be bound in front of a...

4 seasons rowing....

Since I started rowing I have kept a 'log' of dates, times, distances etc. Recently over lockdown (as I've had a few months spare) I've looked at the data I've collected over the years and created my own 'stats' tab. Here are some of the more interesting (well at least to me) things I have found My ...

Re: January Revolution

I very casually (and foolishly) decided to take on the 20000 calorie challenge. This morning I finally reached the finishing line after just over 26 hours of rowing and 345000 metres. This is more than 120000 metres beyond my previous best month this season and is my highest ever metres rowed in a ...

Only 43 minutes to go before completion of the long haul 😎👍😎 How is everyone else getting on ?? Finished today. Wanted a cushion for the end of the month and got it. Gonna take it a bit easier now. Back has been playing up a bit (ended up wearing a 'weight training' belt over the last couple of wee...

Re: what training have free spirits been doing today?

Yeah I have got a couple of heaters. I have a greenhouse type one which isn't a full on heater I guess but it does take the 'chill' off. Although it's not very effective when the temp. gets real low. The other heater is a lot more manly. Tend to give it a blast for around 10 minutes or so. It takes ...

Re: what training have free spirits been doing today?

Just smashing out some metres at the moment during the day. It's all about damage limitation!! Burning some calories. Last one tomorrow before the 3 day bender begins in earnest :) (just practicing at the moment) Plus on top off all that it's going to get cold - and it's no fun rowing in the shed in...
