Re: Web site renewal

Thomas, a big thank you for all your efforts over past years in keeping the FS web sites running. Like you I haven't rowed much during the last couple of years, my absence being due to a hip flexor problems. Hope the bike riding is going well, and I trust you're still doing your bit to maintain Cadb...

Re: Crash B's 2012

Peter thanks for the pm, and my apologies for not responding before but I have been rather knocked sideways by a recent family bereavement. Also yesterday I came very close to cancelling this trip as I felt really unwell with (man 'flu) and a bad sore throat. Today I feel better but not training, in...

Re: Farnborough 5k 14th may

After a (very) painful marathon experience at Paignton I didn't think I would be able to row at Farnborough.
However, after a couple of weeks and liberal amounts of Ibuprofen applied to the Glutes, things are settling down.
I'm now look forward to the day and meeting you all there.

Re: RP C2 challenge 2.5k

As I need to get a time in for the 2.5k C2Challenge I was thinking of an attempt on Row Pro over the weekend Saturday being my day of choice. I was just wondering if anyone is up for this as a shared suffering will stop any HDs hopefully I will see if I can join you Colin, as I've never experienced...

Fantabulous description and yet another awe inspiring row Roger. If I grow up to be half as good an erger as you are, I'll be a very happy camper. 2011 has got off to a cracking start for you (and Free Spirits). What next 100km WR ?? Plummy Dave, as far as your first statement is concerned. Please ...

Re: Roger Bangay World Record Holder

Once again, thank you for the kind words from my fellow FS’s. After Saturdays marathon result I like others might ask, ‘Where did that come from?’ I think some of the answer lies in the temperature. Recently I have completed my fastest 5km for 2.5 years, 10km for 4 years, and now the marathon. The o...

You're there Gary - just looked. Jane and I are entered but Jane will not be racing this event and I would only be using it as a warm up anyway. As I am a sad sort of person who really needs to get out more often I have set up a RowPro session for the 10 July named 'Eddie's Golden Smile'.
This is in no way intended to be in competition to, or as an alterntative to, the Solihull Silver Mile which I'm sure will be 8)

Re: Farnborough 5k - 22nd May 2010

Another great day at Farnborough in a very nice venue. The only slight problem was the aircon struggled to keep up with all the extra watts, and it did get pretty hot in the gym as the day wore on. It was nice to see all the usual FS's faces again, and especially Big Wave Dave who was having his fir...
