Re: Lifetime Millionaires Club

Another one under the belt. This million was faster than usual for me, it only took 84 days.

Re: Your favourite distance - why - target

For the longest time, the HM was my favorite distance. I currently stand at 357 rows, my record for a rowing season is 136 (season 2012). I used to watch a lot of sports when rowing, and the HM was a good distance for that. Later on, I became obsessed to reach a pace average of below 2:00/500m for ...

Re: Nonathlon 2024/5

Thanks bierik, that fixed things for me.

Glad to hear that it helped you fix the problem. Note that the change does affect all sites viewed in chrome: no links on a site will be preloaded into the cache anymore. Personally, I'm against prefetching contents of links. If I do want to follow a link ...

Re: Nonathlon 2024/5

Now that helped to find the culprit :). Chrome or Chromium try to prefetch the page https://www.nonathlon.com/rankingswitch.php when clicking on "Show Times". nonathlon does not seem to like it and sends a 503:

Disabling prefetch does help. You can try it ...

Re: Nonathlon 2024/5

I have 2 computers, both running the Chrome browser. "Show Times" works on one and does nothing on the other...

What I can reproduce is that when you have two tabs open on the site in the same browser (Firefox under Linux), both not showing times, and you click on “show times“ in one of them ...

I‘ve never ever seen that button „Show Times“. I‘ve just tried it and it has indeed shown the times as well, so it seems to work, at least for me.

Nicely done Kay, but R41 for the 1500? Can't imagine that, while not sure what happened to your HR monitor.

The HR monitor is a Garmin watch without a belt. It is kinda accurate, but sometimes goes on a wild tangent  .

That was a tough one to pace. The 3min break before the 1000m was a blessing.

Re: Metreboard wasteland - help

I do have several Postgres databases locally, so choosing it for the concept2 data was easy. I integrated support for sqlite3 today. It took two lines of code in the db connection layer since the queries themselves are db-agnostic :D . The script for creating the table in sqlite3 needed one tweak as ...

Re: Metreboard wasteland - help

I have a local database that has all my csv files from concept2 in it (updated once a day or whenever I want it) and that I can query to create pretty much any analysis or statistics that I want. Lots of predefined queries are defined in a python script, but any ad hoc queries can be executed ...

I might be able to do it as well! I‘ll go on vacation on Friday. If I can squeeze in a WOD in the morning (and do one every day before) I can get 5 :D . I have two so far.

I'm having the opposite trouble with 3 of us very close and changing places. But bracing for Kay's wash as he zooms past while Oliver Leeds responds to Paul Roberts "challenge" (both were up in top 5 earlier in the season) so won't keep up for long, this just leaves Richard Healey's consistent ...

That's the crux of the dog days. I managed 70K, 55K and 75K for the first three weeks, respectively. This doesn't count at all unless I manage 40K for the fourth week. I have some restrictions in the next couple of days and hope to get those 40Ks in... Mike, did you record your HM by hand? I saw you ...
