Re: September ctc - 5k, standing start, unrestricted

Well done Dave, being 0.7s off your SB is quite good start into this ctc. There's more to come I think... :fswink:

There‘s no need for that. Just wait for Wolfie‘s first go, then go a tad quicker :D

Re: July ctc - 2112m

That‘s a serious improvement Max, and your heart rate makes it look easy! No way you won‘t beat a 1:45 pace in your next attempt. Nice flat pacing there Fred, that must have hurt towards the end! Have fun with rowing otw! I have been doing mostly otw rowing recently but nevertheless had two attempts...

Jill,

go to Wolfie‘s post in this thread, four posts above yours, click on the „Contact“ button on the right and it should work.

Hi Steve,

I have sent you a PM with my address.

Donation will go to the Corona emergency fund of the German Red Cross.

Great score Joe and a strong finish sprint, there's more to come in your next attempt =D> Max, you say you lost fitness, but your even pacing makes it look easy. Are you sticking to your plan of going one second faster in pace every week? I had my first go at this last night. I haven't been erging m...

July ctc - 2112m

Hi everybody,

team Tokyrow has decided on the ctc for July. In honour of the cancelled Henley Royal Regatta it is 2112m (the length of the course), standing start.

That should be even a bit more fun than a simple 2k :^o

When I turned 40 I „treated myself“ by having a checkup of my cardiovascular system. The result was a cholesterol level of more than 300 and my left carotid artery was blocked by placque by 20% You can imagine that this was quite a shock to me. Like you I have never been overweight, I never ...

June ctc - actual poll

Hi all,

it seems we agreed on 7/5/3/1 minutes, the only question left is the one for the rest periods. So far 90 seconds and 120 seconds are the favourites. I added another suggestion: 105 seconds (= 7x5x3x1 seconds).

Please feel free to give your vote.

Re: JUNE CTC - Free Spirits to choose

What about 105 seconds as a compromise. Not only is it in the middle between 90 seconds and 120 seconds, it is also 1x3x5x7 seconds :D

I just created a poll to decide on the rest period. Please feel free to give your vote:

Re: do you want a new captain

One clarification from my side, to avoid a wrong impression: in a PM based discussion how to get along with the spring viii series Stan suggested to hand over captaincy to Plummy or me. In the interest of transparency I asked for an open discussion on the forum, hence Stan started this thread. It wa...

That‘s a great score Ron and congrats on your PB! If you‘re having another go you might want to move up the foot plate by one hole. Therefore your leg drive is in a more horizontal direction.

Re: JUNE CTC - Free Spirits to choose

Steve, you are right, you can‘t do variable interval sessions on a PM2. I like your initial proposal, with a fixed 1 min rest, to not make the whole session too long (incl. w/u and c/d).

I'd very much appreciate that, from both of you.
