Re: November ctc - 1k/3:30r/750m/2:30r/500m/1:30r/250m

Mat, that is of course mighty impressive to row this time with a broken foot! But like Steve said, take care of that foot and don‘t bother the healing process by wanting too much too soon. Fred, take it easy with sprinting if your back is hurting. Good luck with the IRL, this longer piece of...

Thanks Max, although nowhere near your impressive rowing will be, once you'r done with SIRC (good luck for that by the way)!

Re: November ctc - 1k/3:30r/750m/2:30r/500m/1:30r/250m

In order to give Fred a proper target (two seconds is not enough :D ) I had my third attempt last night. Plan was again to beat last time's pace in every rep. This is how it went: Unbenannt.JPG All I can say is it HURT. After rep #1 I really needed those 3'30'' rest. Rep #2 started ok but soon becam...

Re: what training have free spirits been doing today?

Outstanding time for a HM Lily =D> =D> I'd echo Steve's comment, that's a phenomenal time for a HM, well done! =D> (In fact, just checked the rankings and that has you at #1 ^O^ ) You should rank it if you haven't already. It would put you comfortably in spot #1 (which is currently 1:31:36.9 on the...

Re: November ctc - 1k/3:30r/750m/2:30r/500m/1:30r/250m

Great row Steve, very fast first three intervals and an even faster last one =D> Had my second go last night with the simple aim of being faster in each reap than last time. This is how it went: Unbenannt.JPG By my totally unknowledgeable cowboy reckoning, you can defo go faster Peter! Do it 😃 Happy...

Re: Indoor Rowers League 2019/2020

That's a great idea Dave! Shared pain is half the pain  Had my second go at this last night. My first atempt was a 24:32.1 (1:56.0), so the plan was to start out 1 second slower in pace and then try to speed it up from there. This is how it went: Unbenannt.JPG Everything went pretty much to pla...

Re: November ctc - 1k/3:30r/750m/2:30r/500m/1:30r/250m

Had my first go at this two days ago and followed Max's advice re pacing (2k pace for the first two reps, then 1k pace for the 500m and open the hut box for the final one). I estimated my 2k pace would be somewhere around 1:50, the 1k pace around 1:45. This is how it went: Unbenannt.JPG 1:50 soon fe...

Re: Anyone had any SEASON's bests recently?

Well done Dave, five seconds off a 500m is massive! =D> I agree with Jon that your 1k is looking a bit soft now  :fswink: And while you're at it, why not have a go at the 2k as well, with a percentage of 71.5% it would be an easy target for you now :D

Re: November ctc - 1k/3:30r/750m/2:30r/500m/1:30r/250m

Great job Louise! Your first three reps were very evenly paced + there was nothing left in the final 250m (only 1.7 seconds quicker in pace with a higher stroke rate, that must have hurt) -> overall pacing was spot on!

Re: Indoor Rowers League 2019/2020

Great row Felton, well below 23 minutes next time I'd say :fswink: Max, good luck at SRIC :fswink: I had my first go at this last night. Based on my recent 10k (39:46) and mile (5:43.5) the pace predictor promised a 24:35 (1:56.2). So my plan was to start around 1:58 pace for the first half, see how...

Well done Matt, whether you're happy with the result or not! It's all about the pacing, isn't it? Nevertheless I'd like to persuade you to enter your score on the ctc page now and not to wait until you had your second go. You'll never know what is going to happen later in the month, you could...

Re: Indoor Rowers League 2019/2020

For „limping home“ your score is still very competitve Steve! I had a last minute second try tonight. Plan was to start around last time‘s pace of 1:47.6 and see if I could better that in the second half of the row. This is how it went: 7BF96697-3BFD-4E80-BFCB-580EF1D7A5DD.jpeg First half went prett...

Re: October ctc - 666 meters

Decided to have my second go at the ctc one day earlier so I might be able to do the IRL mile today. My last try was a 2:17.3 (1:43.0) which had been beaten by Dave  :fswink: So my plan was to start out at last time's pace of 1:43.0 for the first half and then see if I can get any quicker: ...

November ctc - 1k/3:30r/750m/2:30r/500m/1:30r/250m

Hi everyone, it seems that CUS Bergamo have announced the ctc for November: „1000m rest.3'30" 750m rest.2'30 500m rest. 1'30" 250m The first from a stopped fan, afterwards as you will.“ This one reminds me of the second half of the Pete Plan pyramid, albeit with about half the rest time. On the othe...

Re: October ctc - 666 meters

Interesting battle between Leslie and Louise going on here, I would assume next time she has a go with fresh legs Lesley will get very close to Louise's score. I had my first attempt last night, on tired legs (4.5km bike ride back from work :D ), so I'm getting my excuses in early: rsz_unbenannt.jpg...
