Re: Lifetime Millionaires Club

Huge number and great to see you still cranking out the metres given the year you've had. All updated now.

Well done Kevin - you are added to the list now and already halfway up the table. I chuckled at the "Trigger's broom" comment. It'll have anyone outside the UK scratching their heads :-)

Re: Crazy Bear Challenge

It's up and running and started on November 10th as usual. There's a bunch of people already belting these out - about 36 people who have done 259 HMs between them in total Here's the link to the spreadsheet: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1VlL8R5KhwsyIx0YSMuGIAuq5pyK86CeKIR0ZFINguN0/edit#gi...

I reckon you would know a lot more than you think. For example: The End by the Doors I can't get no satisfaction by the Rolling Stones Love me by Robert Duvall Ride of the Valkyries by Wagner Let the Good times roll by Shirley Goodman Surfin' Safari credited to Brian Wilson but I think the Beach Bo...

It's difficult enough as it is with hit records or film dialogue on its own. Music from films!!!

Re: Name that tune

Steve has it - correct with Driver's Seat by Sniff and the Tears. No shame in having not heard of them as it was rather a one off - but did rather well and still gets played regularly on BBC radio

We talking about glam rock here or disco bubblegum pop?
Very late 70's and I think Glam Rock was done by then. Not bubblegum pop either

Boogie Nights, Anchorman 2 and also used in an episode of The Walking Dead (though not sure these will help)

Re: Name that tune

Not Mungo Jerry Graham.

I'd describe this band (further clue) as a one hit wonder to be honest - but this song has been used in more than one film (according to Wikipedia)

Re: Name that tune

Heard this a couple of times recently. I can't see it having been used before and it was a hit in many countries (including the USA). We are in the late 70's to narrow it down...

Hi Jill. I'm a newbie here. But I think your contribution on this thread is wonderful. And ray of lighthearted sunshine. I wish you well whatever you do. From a boring old ergo'er ^O^ I totally agree with Kevin. There's a few of us who have "assumed" ownership of certain threads and that's fine in ...

Re: Indoor Rowers League 20/21

I had an early go at this and struggled (as usual these days) to get through the piece. With a collection of small slow downs I muddled my way to 26:14.2. At least it's done and a score is on the board now.

Nice one Kevin, given it was one of 3 reps!

Re: NOVEMBER 2020 - CTC

Looking back at my attempt it was overall about 2k-3 (on the understanding that that is based on my current SB 2k pace). Per rep I was 2k-5, 2k-2, 2k even, 2k-3 and 2k-8.

I was pretty porked at the end though!

Re: Name that tune

I can almost hear "What's another year" by Johnny (can't remember his surname) - for the Irish EuroVision entry from decades ago. He had another go at it a few hears later I think.
