Re: Don’t swim on Friday 13

These last updates had slipped past me - sorry. Great news Paul (other than there's obviously a slightly more bionic version of you with us now). Take it easy young man - no more 24 hour rows methinks ;-)

Re: Name that tune

Good guess - but alas no. Here's the whole first verse (I wouldn't have got in from this as a whole either) but concentrate on the first 2 words: Feels like I'm standing in a timeless dream Of light mists of pale amber rose Feels like I'm lost in a deep cloud of heavenly scent Touching, discovering ...

Re: FS Sweat protection option

My sweatbands are a shadow of what they used to be and despite several "re-glueings", the yellow strip continues to fall off with ever more regularity. That said, Mrs P has a vast collection of sewing paraphenalia so I asked it the strip could be stitched on - and here is the first test sample. Scre...

Re: Name that tune

A whole verse from a huge 90's hit (UK and USA):

You've got the most unbelievable blue eyes I've ever seen
You've got me almost melting away
As we lay there under blue sky with pure white stars
Exotic sweetness a magical time
Say it, say it again

Re: Covid-19

So many of us appear to work from home - and I'm pretty much the same although I do usually go out and see customers at least one day a week (not this week). I'm not worried for myself (which may be tempting fate) but for others a lot more e.g. Mrs P and my dad are Type 2 diabetic, my mum and dad or...

Re: Don’t swim on Friday 13

Blimey - that's a scary read and I'm so glad you pulled through that relatively unscathed. Well done to the lifeguards with their determination and medical professionals all round. I'm thinking that your underlying level of fitness helped you through that whole episode. I think Fred is right - take ...

Re: OCD Rows

Nice! The perfectionists out there argue that a "proper" OCD row should have a minimum 8 (eight!) splits. I'm more in the camp of 6 being more than sufficient but any attempt is great to see.

Re: Indoor Rowers League 2019/2020

I saw with some dread that this month's event is a 10k - a distance I can rarely get to these days. 20 mins (5k ish) or 30 mins are about where my body and brain go "enough" and I quit. However, I signed up for the team so managed on Sunday with about 5 complete stops to stagger to a rather pathetic...
