Re: Name that tune

Struggling to think of bands starting with EU countries...Swedish House Mafia? although "Swedish" isn't a country so kinda rules them out.

Re: July ctc - 2112m

I put a marker down last night (undoubtedly for JonT to chase down). As my 2k SB was at 1:54.2 pace I figured I should be somewhere around the 1:55 pace and managed 1:54.8. If I could pull the overall time down to sub 8 mins it'd probably be a new SB - and therefore by default actually a 2 year SB -...

Well done Lesley. Perhaps 7k is achievable soon? Given the rate that you are improving, I think it may be.
I agree with Jon, I think 7k is on the cards this season. =D> =D>

Re: June CTC

Had a go at this last night hoping to start off around 1:57.0 to keep me in with a shout of being near JonT (as he'd averaged 1:56.6 overall). Managed 1:57.1 and 1:57.0 for the 7 and the 5 but then it was just hanging on as I was well and truly done in already. Finished with 4128m, a mere 15m ahead...

Re: Last year of the Meteboard? / Meterboard3?

Agreed - thank you Jon. My fear was that Free Spirits to a certain extent "was" the metreboard and it was the central kingpin about which it kept so many members in the team. As such, it's disappearance would mean all those members who choose not to join the the challenges and/or comment of the foru...

Re: Nonathlon 2021

Looks good and has great potential - nice work Jon.
The standard nomenclature for a full marathon is FM - so maybe titling that column as such would be better fir consistency, just a suggestion.

I agree with Crushy - a couple of extra colours would look nice (and is probably very easy to add in)

Re: Last year of the Meteboard? / Meterboard3?

If we cannot find a person who is technically able to pick up on the great work that Thomas has done over the years, could we offer to pay Thomas (through a small subscription each) to maintain it for us. At least he'd not be spending his valuable time sorting out our issues for free (assuming he'd ...

Just need 2m to pip JonT - so may have one more go... Make that 4m Plummy. I just had to have another crack at it before the end of the month. This attempt was actually far easier. In my first attempt I had no idea at all what I was aiming for. On this one I found it easier to hit a pace ...

From the new clue - maybe Terry Gilliam is the director? The Fisher King (not Sci-Fi) - or Twelve Monkeys?

Fine by me. At least before the actual rowing.
Agreed on both points. A 9 minutes followed swiftly by a 7 had little appeal in my camp so dropping the 9 but going to 90s rests seems a good compromise
