Re: World Erg Team Challenge 2019

Not sure how this compares to previous years but 4th and an impressive average per person of over 150,000m. Well done all Free Spirits =D> =D> =D>.

Re: what training have free spirits been doing today?

Limping towards the end of the season but after 2 weeks off it's nice to be back with a gentle 10k.

Re: Christmas Present Ideas / Heart Rate Monitor

I opted for the TICKR X because it has a memory which I occasionally use when out trekking. When rowing it is comfortable and connects easily to the PM5. I read that the battery does not last forever so keep a spare just in case. The only small issue is that a couple of times I have had to take the ...

Re: Meta-nonathlon 2018-2019

I think you could edit the score of your HM multiple times just to see at what result the score would tick over to 902? I was hoping that wasn't the answer! Because a 902 score is 1:21:45.8 @1:56.2 . To be safe, the equivalent time to equate to over 911 points on the nonathon. Yikes. What's ...

Re: Meta-nonathlon 2018-2019

99 and amber for the HM is slightly irritating!!! As I didn't do one last year I understand the benchmark was my best nonathlon score (902 for the 5k) so the bar was always going to be pretty high. In fact I did not expect to get close but now I am does anyone know exactly how fast I would have to g...

Thanks Tako. I'll be happy to break 2mm this season and it would be nice to be top 20.

Re: Meterboard 2 - bugs and feature requests

Hi Thomas, I installed the recent C2 software update on the 28th of March and it has impacted on the meterboard showing all my season meters on the 28th. It's not really an issue because it hasn't doubled the season total but thought you would want to know. It is a pity it didn't double my meters be...

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

Thank you all. I can't claim there was much of a sprint finish but I did pick up the pace slightly with 10 mins to go to when I realised sub 23 was possible. Plus the last 50 stroke countdown and it did feel good to see a 1:45 at the end.. Colin, Well done, that's a very nice 5k =D> =D> =D>.

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

Congratulations on your HM PB Max! =D> That end heart rate looks rather high (like it should do at the end of a hard HM :D ), is that near your max heart rate? It's a cracking season you're having with a whole set of PBs, except for the 1k. Are you going for the 1k PB in April (might fit well with ...

Re: Heart Rate Training and Bands

Hi, Sander checking in. The Rowsandall guy. Hi Sander, Thanks and great to hear from you. If it's the first page of the 'Log' then it's not an issue because only the latest 10 workouts are shown. So easy to just delete the miscellaneous ones after a couple of weeks eg warm ups, cool downs, drag set...

Re: Meta-nonathlon 2018-2019

Hi Cambre, This is my 2nd Meta-nonathlon year so I do have an advantage in that I've still been improving. If you are interested in relative performance then looking at the Nonathlon and the Concept2 Rankings will give you a good insight. Personally I think that a 900 Nonathlon score is pretty good ...

Re: Heart Rate Training and Bands

Thanks Greg. Yes I'm using ergdata. Just checked my settings and yes I did select C2 auto import. Unfortunately I can't delete workouts from C2 logbook as this would impact my lifetime and season meters. My workaround has been to rename the main workouts i.e. the ones I want, and then use search and...

Re: Heart Rate Training and Bands

Update on the Eddie Fletcher Marathon plan. It has been a bit stop / start due to holidays and minor injury. Since the start of Feb I've managed: week A, week A, week B and am now on week D (which is the same as week A). Week C looks pretty tough and is a time commitment I can't meet for a few weeks...

Re: Heart Rate Training and Bands

During this month's IRL 10k my HR reached a new peak of 176 so I've had to update my training bands. Unfortunately this means my future HR restricted workouts will be harder. Or perhaps it is more accurate to say previously I was going too easy .

Thanks Tako, I will be pleased if I can break 120 this year and then aim for all green next year. Which reminds me of your all green goal. Hopefully once your cold has cleared the March Madness challenge will mean you are in great shape to achieve the full set.
