Re: WELCOME to New Members

Thank you David.

Sad that it took a world epidemic to get me to dust off the truth machine.

When I row now, I cant even see my old self in the distance. I can only assume I used to cheat somehow because those pb's are just not possible for me :o

Not been around in a while (now there's an understatement) change of job and moved house has kept me of that machine, now on a 2 month trip round China & Vietnam. Just in case anybody is really bored you can see it unfolding here http://www.travelpod.com/travel-blog-entries/kingy2/1/1267377233/t...

Re: Tell us about your Holiday plans

Have a good one Andy.

I'm just back from a long weekend in Porto, if you're any where near it's well worth a look, great views, food and of course Port. Free tours and tasting in many of the Port houses.

Re: Had a bad day? ......... Tell us about it

Bog standard flu killed over 14000 people last year and it hardly rates a mention. Swine flu seems to be milder but gets all the attention. It has the potential to mutate and get worse I suppose, but it could just as easily mutate and get milder. Not belittling what you are going through Dave, its ...

Been feeling rough for a few days now, it got bad yesterday and I spoke to the emergncy Doctor, he's convinced it's Swine Flu and I'm now on the TamiFlu.

There seems to be a lot of it about down here at the moment. Make sure you have your Flu Buddy sorted out!!

Re: Summer Solstice

Great session today with 15 starters, must have been at least half of us Free Spirits. Seems to me that the Summer Solstice row pro sessions have been getting more popular. I think I did it last year with just a group of 4. Today our session left the dock with 15 and there was a second ses...

Re: Training for BIRC 2009.

Its been a week of high and lows for my training. Had a mad idea at work (nightshift) last friday to go for the Full Big M. Got my fluids lined up on the floor, water, boost bar and wine gums at the ready, and Lucozade sport on standby. What a disaster. Quit at half marathon point.....4 m...

Re: Summer Solstice

As for my target...steady 2:10 and will negative split the second half if it feels too easy.. I am way off PB form right now and on the first week of comeback, so having to face the reality that I have lost a step and am going to have to work to get it back. Did a steady 10k earlier this week at 2:...

Lets not forget it's Summer Solstice on Sunday.

I'll be doing it on RowPro starting some time between 10:00 & 14:00 BST, anybody got any plans?
