Re: APRIL CTC - single 1500m

Congratulations on a great time! I told you that you should be faster than me :-)

No threat from my side this week.

Re: World Erg Team Challenge 2019

And I agree with your point, Paul.
It is just my competitive mind that gets annoyed by seeing all those meters in the Meterboard but not in the team challenge :-)

Re: World Erg Team Challenge 2019

Hi Paul It is of course not a problem, i just find it strange that there is a separate registration required, because why have the Free Spirits affiliation if you have a problem with logging your meters for the team challenges, after all that is one of the things you need the team affiliation for. W...

Re: what training have free spirits been doing today?

Well I was also in a negative trend and did constantly fail on getting my last three PBs improved for an all green Meta-Nonathlon. So I feel kind of your pain Dave. But the last week I was in the mountains and there they have a nice training center with a C2 erg. Thanks to that one I knocked down th...

Re: World Erg Team Challenge 2019

Yes, and third place would have been no problem if all that enter meters into their C2 log book would have signed up for the team for this challenge.... It is a bit annoying that one has to separately sign up on the team’s page.

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

Managed to improve the HM PB from 1:24:58.7 @ 2:00.8 to 1:24:10.2 @ 1:59.6 :-)
So for this season only the 30min PB remains to be beaten :-)

After a new PB for the HM today, only one green entry for the 30min lacking by the end of the month :-)

Re: Nonathlon 2019

That is a great achievement Fred! Gefeliciteerd!

Not sure how the Nonathlon works but I am not even close to a 900 score, even though I mainly have PBs in there. So really impressed by all entering scores above 900!! [emoji122]

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

Well, I guess it shows how the different distances require their mix of stamina and power :-)
Although I do a lot of meters I can clearly see that my stamina is not close to yours. Also my body would not tolerate the 800k in a month and then doing these impressive PBs!

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

Well done Colin! Impressive! As you can see from my Meta-Nonathlon post far too fast for me!
So no clue why you cannot beat my times for the C2CTC ;-)

Re: APRIL CTC - single 1500m

Thanks for the overview Ian. Just saw a great effort being registered by Ange! So now boat I is in 5th and boat II in tenth position. Does not happen that often :-) And we are still waiting for Claudius, Guy, Max, Morten, ... to improve the picture even more even though that will put me in boat II w...

Meta-nonathlon 2018-2019

YEEEEEES!!!!![emoji2957] FINALLY[emoji3062], another PB and hence another green. And it was what I think my toughest and strongest one, the 10k, at least when ranking it in C2 log book. Went from 37:29.6 to 37:26.2 @ 1:52.4 So only two more to go for the season. Although still somewhat snotty and su...

Re: APRIL CTC - single 1500m

Welcome on board Ben! As Felton wrote in the other thread this is a very competitive first entry, and with Plummy’s advice I am sure you can go even faster. Did you see the beginners thread started by Zoot in the Forum? I cannot find the link but definitely a good thread to read for new members. Onc...

After the C2CTC I thought I give the IRL another try but really struggled after 200m and somehow managed to finish a couple of seconds slower than Fred at 1:34.7

APRIL CTC - single 1500m

I was thinking (with no logic) that 2km -1 would work as a useful initial target, but that's clearly too conservative [emoji848] Not really feeling in shape and can not confirm that 2k PB pace - 1sec is too conservative [emoji2957] Considering the felt fitness I am please to have taken the lead for...

Re: Meterboard 2 - bugs and feature requests

Hi Max You are welcome to try ;-) The explanation I think is that on days where you delete workouts in a way that the total gets negative, the days total gets confused. It has no bad effects except for the impressive number. As you rightly pointed out totals are not affected. That is what happened t...

Re: 2019 Mud Season Madness - a review

I had a good month. I completed 28 days of 10k plus, and topped 800,000 meters for the month. I'm about to have a lot less free time so need to find a way to maintain fitness with fewer meters. Cheers, Colin 800k in 1 month!!! There are many words that come into my mind regarding that, but I choose...

Re: 2019 Mud Season Madness - a review

Since starting on the Rowing Erg in Summer 2016, this was my third Mud Challenge. Like the previous two years, I also managed the 10k challenge, mainly motivated by my goal to get all the challenges this season, hence, all the icons on the meterboard, get my daily average above the one from last sea...
