yes, that makes sense! I've been 'just rowing', so haven't had any idea what statistics are useful - this morning was the first time I used the monitor for spm, rather than watts.

I think this is the most appropriate thread for the questions I've thought of so far, although I don't think I'm *very* unfit… maybe I should dig out the heart monitor and find out. I started rowing based on what one of the gym trainers told me, which had a lot of emphasis on 'don't go too far back ...
