Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

Grabbed a couple more today. Improved my 30 Minute PB by 72M to 7616. In the process, also PB'ed my previous 6K by almost 18 Seconds. I don't know what's going on this year! :)

Thanks, Plummy - the first 10 songs I picked had already been debuted on this thread, so here's one that hasn't... :)

Re: Name that tune

I can hear Bruce Hornsby singing "That's Just the Way It Is" over & over in my head, but I think the actual title is the shortened version:

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

Well don Ron. This “just turn up and get a PB” approach is working well for you, and probably says a lot about the great condition you must be in at the moment. Thanks, Jon. Between the rowing and the mountain biking, I beat myself up a lot these days, but I'm loving it and am probably in the best ...

Re: what training have free spirits been doing today?

Well, after PB'ing my Hour of Power yesterday, I decided a little 43.5 mile ride in the woods was just the ticket today. I might just be nuts.

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

Well, I went and did it again. No plan for a PB - in fact, just a simple goal of rowing for an hour for the team challenge - but sat down to do said hour, and it just felt good starting off, so I kinda sorta negative split it to a new PB of 14795 vs previous 14622. I hate to put this in writing, but...

Jon - just curious - did you write the Analyzer that displays all that data? Regardless, it's pretty cool.

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

I was in a hurry this morning, so I sat down for an attempt at my 5K PB. I rarely know exactly what my PB's are when I start these things, and I was thinking I needed to hit 19:40. As it turns out, my standing PB was 19:39.7. Luckily, I was a little faster than that and finished with a 19:35.4, just...

Sorry to hear about the injuries (and the accompanying self-reflection) that interrupted your course, Tako. Sometimes the body just says "No", and we have no choice but to back off and try again another day. Best of luck as you maneuver through recovery!

Just under 35 miles on the mountain bike today. Set a few segment PR's and tackled a black diamond trail I've been avoiding for the last two seasons. I should have kept avoiding it! :D

How does that compare to your 2K pace Ron? Sorry, Jon, but I'm not really sure. After several years of ignoring that row, I tried to do a "real" 2K a couple of weeks ago. I was intent on holding 1:50 throughout and managed to hold it until just after 750M... :D I haven't tried again since...
