Re: Name that tune

Another Pleasant Valley Sunday I watched a YouTube video and have no recollection of ever hearing this song, though I regularly watched The Monkees when they were on TV, so I probably did at some point. "When you wake up in the morning and the light is hurt your head" This sounded really familiar u...

Stevie Nicks, Landslide. ('till the landslide took me down).
I'm gonna let you slide on naming the wrong artist since it's not required by board rules...

Okay, "wrong" is a little strong - she wrote it and sang it, but it's a Fleetwood Mac song. :)

Welcome back to the game, Peter!

Here are a couple more lines:

Re: Name that tune

Well, it looks like no one is hip to Cage the Elephant. :) I hesitated to post the song, but I like it and thought if I posted from the chorus, someone would surely nab it. The title bracketed the lyrics I provided, so here we are: Oh There Ain't No Rest for the Wicked Money don't grow on trees. I g...

That film has one of the best opening 15 minutes ever made.
Now I'm going to have to rewatch it!

Up next:

A: Nice ride. Mustang, Boss 429. She a 70?
B: 69.
A: Beautiful car.
B: Thanks.
A: How much?
B: Excuse me?
A: How much for the car?

Re: Name that tune

Jill inspired the choice by using 'Message in a bottle' by the Police. On that one there is a very long fade out with "sending out an SOS" repeated many times. The very final one of those, and the volume has to be turned right up, is "sending out an ESSO Blue". True. Aha! Thanks for the explanation...
