Re: Name that tune

LoL - immense fail on my part. I see the title, and it still doesn't "ring a bell"... I'm not sure what I thought the song was called, but I like it and knew the artist. Brains are fun! :D

Re: Name that tune

I guess having the group is not enough. More lyrics before I give up. Maybe somebody's brain will be jogged. [-o< Still know it and could recite several more lyrics, but the title escapes me... :) And, yeah, "slippery" is the technical term for titles not contained within the lyrics or buried so de...

Unfortunately the full effect of his singing does not come over that well in digital form, but live he is astounding.
Nice... first one I tried was a cover, "Just the Way You Are", and I like it!

Re: Something a Little Different

Congratulations Ron! We did not notice any "local dialect issues". In fact, it did seem a "normal conversation", at least for rappelling down a ginormous building. We were waiting for you to take those two story at a time jumps. :^o Thanks, Peter & Ann! I think the young woman up top that was doing...

Re: Something a Little Different

It was a fundraiser event. I was sitting quietly at home one day last May when I got an email from the charity organization (United Way) that I've supported for years. It immediately intrigued me, and I signed up that day. Nearly 3 months later, and the deed is done... It was quite a rush!! I do get...

Good luck in your noble endeavor, webberg, and welcome back! I still feel like a "new guy" as I joined the FS in January 2016 and have yet to fully commit.

Something a Little Different

I haven't been rowing much lately - super-busy at work as my upcoming retirement looms (11/1), and I"m trying to train my replacement who is trying to hire his replacement.... back to my summer mountain-biking, and a couple days a week of lifting. So, I'm not quite a slouch, but I do miss the regula...

Re: Name that tune

Alright, it's pretty obvious you old fogies aren't keeping up with the times... :D (I have no room to talk here) Okay, next hint - as stated earlier, the band name starts with a European country - said country could be said to be the conjoined twin to Spain (to the left!) Final hint - the most catch...

Another line (other than being from the same song, no relationship to the previous line):

Am I coming out of left field?

Also, speaking of European charting, the name of the band begins with a European country's name... :)

In football parlance, I think my contribution counts as an assist. In the US there's no "assist" in football! ( ) Basketball, yes... On a more serious note, your contribution would have absolutely been an assist if I hadn't already figured it out. I know I have no proof of this, but I was sit...
