Re: Lifetime Millionaires Club

Don't worry Tako, I'm not going to race you for it (especially since you've got a healthy head start)

Re: Millionaires club-Season

Jill, it's good to see that you're back to regular rowing this month :)
I hope you manage to keep going, and I'm looking forward to your messages on this thread! It will be a while though before I get to a million for this season

Cheers, Jan. Looks like the target I set for you was just right then.
Looks like it, I might wait for you to set me a target for next month's CTC (20x300m r 1 )

Re: May CTC - 3 x 1k / 5 min rest

Actually wondering why so many wait with their entries until the last days of the C2CTC challenges. In my case it's just a case of delaying something unpleasant until there's so little time left that I can't wait much longer  Especially sprinty intervals are not really my cup of tea, must do ...

Re: 2018/19 Summary and Aspirations for 2019/20

Last year started good for me, with PBs for the FM and 6k. Then things went a bit quieter, because I somehow wasn't able to push myself to keep going when things got hard. So I got a decent amount of meters logged and challenges completed, but rowing only at an average pace. This April I managed to ...

Hi Stan, thanks for setting up the team again!
Could you please also add Sheena and me (shaveman and jhaveman)?
Thanks, Jan

Impressive row Claudius, and great improvement by Dave! =D>

My next cunning plan is for all other lightweights to row themselves into boat 1, so I could end up in boat 2 without doing any further rowing

Re: December ctc - 30 minutes, standing start

Some impressive results from the team already =D> =D> Good luck everybody with setting new season's and personal bests! I decided to give it a go today, starting conservatively because I was afraid of giving up halfway into the row. It went better than expected though, and I was able to speed up a b...

Re: Millionaires club-Season

Thanks Jill, what can I say ... that write up was worth every meter rowed  Also thanks for reminding me of what I've been doing wrong in the last few months: no doughnuts #-o  I had been wondering why it was getting harder to keep a decent pace for longer rows. Now I know what to do ...

Re: Meta-nonathlon 2018-2019

Thanks Tako and David, the 60mins was an aborted PB attempt - it was just too hot last Sunday :(
My goal is to get everything nice and green (apart from the FM which I didn't do last year) and to get at least 910 points.
Also thanks to Rodger for doing this, it's a great way to track your progress!

Re: July ctc - 555m/111m/444m/777m/333m/222m/666m 70“r

My first attempt at this month's CTC, and it was hard ... Plan was to pace it somewhere in the 1:52 - 1:53 range, with the 111 and 222 all-out sprints, the 333, 444, 555 around 1:52 and the 666 and 777 around 1:55. All went fine until after the 777 which I probably overcooked a bit, the next 333 was...

Re: June ctc - 10k, no stroke rate restrictions

Very impressive rowing from everybody =D> =D> =D> This is a CTC where the risk of HD-ing seems larger than in most other ones ... I've had 3 attempts so far, and inspired by other people's results I tried to go at my PB pace (40:38.0) for all of them. That would get me into boat 4 (no way would I be...

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

I'll have to thank Tako for this one  After he threatened to overtake me in the Nonathlon I decided to go for a few easy points yesterday, trying to improve my 6k time to last year's SB. However with about 2k to go I noticed that the forecasted finish time was only a few seconds behind my P...

Re: June ctc - 10k, no stroke rate restrictions

I had a second attempt today, almost 2 sec/500m faster than last time: from 2:10.2 to 2:08.3 average. It won't trouble Jan (who is yet to post a score) but may spur Jon P to have another go. Great improvement Rodger, looks like you're getting to grips with the pacing for this one and there may be m...

There are not enough days left in the month for me to have another go. It was quite muggy today, and combined with my earlier failures that didn't make me ...

Now there is nothing for me to do but wait and see if Jan and/or Jon are going to punish me for my mistake.
