Re: New toy! (PM5 monitor)
"infinite loop detected" Code 44 - yep another row disappeared into the electronic ether. Odd how the computer can always read the USB stick and the Concept 2 utility decides it needs to repair some files, but the PM5 will never warn you until after it's too late. "Glad" ...

Re: ErgStick and ErgData
You know, as a Free Spirit I want my data to be free . Dito. 8) We should really start propagating a standard CSV or TCX file for rowing data (erg and water). I wish Concept2 would support .fit files (or at least .tcx files) natively by their PM's. I asked several times for this feature. I al...

Re: ErgStick and ErgData
Does the ErgStick provide the ability to get the raw data files from the USB itself or have you to upload the session to their website and get it from there?
Is the ErgStick data compatible to "quite common" tools like Strava, SportTracks, GoldenCheetah or TrainingPeaks?

Re: New toy! (PM5 monitor)
Any advice? Unfortunately I can't give you any advice about PM5 and RowPro, as I'm not using RowPro (it never worked well for me). But I remember (hopefully crrectly) that Greg & Sander have been using (or are still using?) RowPro a lot. Possibly they know what to do and/or can give you a helpi...

Re: Skierg and the meterboard
I do like this series a lot! And not only because of the easy-on-the-eye-athlete
I found this series helpful too.
But I have a feeling that this is the beginning of a long (and intense) friendship

Re: Skierg and the meterboard
Hi Juergie and some youtube videos. Did you watch this one too? I found it very helpful (to watch it in slow motion). Unfortunately it's not in english language available. :( It looked so easy there and I thought that would - as you said - be a nice way to 'relax' after rowing. Boy, was I wrong! Hah...

Re: what training have free spirits been doing today?
Yes it's hard. The ski erg makes me sweat much more. You should try it if you find one! Just 40' (well, ok… 2 times 10x30"-30" with 5' @ recovery speed) on a SkiErg (room temperature of 8°C!) makes a lot of puddle. Very frightening.  http://i.imgur.com/3g8ftDZ.jpg?1...

Re: How wide apart are your hands?
From my point of view it depends on things like shoulder with and, arm length, strength & endurance capacities of engaged muscle groups, rowing technique, rowing speed & aimed distance/duration. If you're interested in this topic, you'll find some possibly helpful informations by u...
