Re: Is the metreboard broken?

It's working for me. Can you check again? Can you tell me what error messages are you getting?

what training have free spirits been doing today?

Well that was an adventure! What a shambles. #-o #-o #-o    I set off intending to answer the question "Given I have done very little rowing (or exercise at all except walking) for a month now, am I capable of doing the Summer Solstice HM?" I decided to do a 10K at a stea...

Re: Old meterboards

How far back do you want to go Ben? If you go to the current Meterboard you can enter a date in the field towards the top left of the screen and it will show you the Meterboard on that specific date. It's very clever, but I take no credit for the code, and can't guarantee just how reliable it is. Jon

Yes, James is first across the one-million line this season. Dwayne has now joined him. ^O^ ^O^

Re: what training have free spirits been doing today?

I think you may have the wrong display setting as rests seem to be included in the above "elapsed" times. This is a new ErgData “feature”. For some reason it is doing this with undefined rest intervals. I’m sure it didn’t do this in the past. This is fixed if you review the data after the...

Re: what training have free spirits been doing today?

I’ve been “off erg” for a few weeks as the result of work+illness+holiday. Yesterday was an easy 3x10min r20. Today was a bit spicier. 2/4/6/6/4/2min r24 2:00r with the aim of emptying the tank by the end of the session. Nice to improve the pace on each of the second half of intervals. Annoying to m...

July CTC

Here's an early heads up for the July Challenge. The Diamonds (Over Sixties Erging Group) have chosen: The Super Sixties Simple 6k “Recent CTC's have been a bit sprinty so this is a chance to bring some slower/longer stuff in. As an over 60's team it's a play on our name which we always like to do p...

Re: New ctc site

Maybe the way to do this is to abandon the boats as displayed in the CTC and instead work out who is in a floated boat and who is ashore just from the list of rowers. That way we always have our own version of "the truth". That would mean that a score would always need to be based on the n...

Re: New ctc site

The new C2CTC site continues to be the gift that keeps on giving. #-o You may remember that in May the site changed so that incomplete boats were reintroduced into the leader board. This meant that I had to undo all of the changes that I had made to compensate for the incomplete boats being missing....

It’s working for me, but I was already logged in.

Edit - I used a different browser where I was not logged in and it also worked.

Free Spirits CTC Participation and Leaderboard

Fred,

Did you take the points from the tool? I haven’t updated it since the end of the month and I am away at the moment. The scores may not be correct.

June CTC

The choice from Forum Flyers is a straightforward 624m to celebrate the 6th month of 2024. No restrictions and the usual rules apply (no rolling start, etc).

Re: Nonathlon 2024/5

I think I have fixed the colour coding of the scores for the history of an individual rower. As I think I mentioned previously, looking at the code, I don't think this was ever working properly. I think I have also fixed the green counter on the Metanonathlon. Thanks to Iain for pointing these bugs ...

Well done Iain. I think you need to dump that HR monitor by the looks of it

That was a strong last 10 minutes. I can't imagine launching into a 60 min row without a warm up by the way. I imagine just warming up would edge you over 14k.

Re: May CTC

As we close out the month I have updated our CTC tool . The numbers have risen significantly over the last week and we now 27 rowers in 6 boats, 4 of which are afloat. I am away for a week so I will update with the final numbers when I get back. Well done all! I have had a rotten cold for a couple o...

I've updated our points calculator (this is still a manual process). We have a very low turnout so far this month with just 13 rowers and only one boat afloat.

Not my intention to provoke an argument- but I understand why you may hold that opinion. I tend to see things as black or white and struggle with grey areas. As I mentioned, because of the wording, it appears all time counts, even though the system is table is calculating based on split times only....

Re: Nonathlon 2024/5

I tried this earlier this week Iain and for some reason the roll-over to the new season failed. I haven’t had a chance to work out why and I’m away for most of the next couple of weeks.
