I always leave these decisions up to the legs - sometimes gives the brain a bit of a shock at what pace it has hold [emoji3]

Well done everyone [emoji3] That was certainly a sting in the tail at the end there!
Pushed a little in the one minute but was mindful of the three still to come, basically tried to pace it consistently throughout

Re: Jan 2025 CTC - The RLR New Year 5k Sprint
Thanks Mike, had a look back at the screenshot from my 5k pb in 2016 and I was rating 30/31 for that. I was a bit more heavyweight then as well, maybe around 82kg. I would definitely benefit from rating much higher as I have less power than before but I'm just not used to it at the moment.

Re: Jan 2025 CTC - The RLR New Year 5k Sprint
Strapped myself in this afternoon for my monthly last minute attempt at the CTC; weighed in at 76.5kg this morning so not quite lightweight yet but figured I would target Ian Bee's time.
Went out positively but had to back off in the 3rd and 4th ks while still keeping it within range of a 'sprint ...

Well done everyone so far, left my entry a little late but at least it's over quickly.
A bit of a fly and die effort, I felt fit enough but just don't have the endurance power in the legs any more

Also, I would have posted a screenshot but I’m not sure of the etiquette of that as I realised that it looks normal on Tapatalk, which I am using, but blows up to gigantic proportions on the forum. Am I just doing something wrong?

Sorry Iain! I’ll try to expand a bit [emoji3]
Not done much rowing recently so didn’t give pacing too much thought other than to start off conservatively somewhere near the pace of last months CTC. Felt quite good so kept increasing the pace through the reps, just going a little harder on the short ...

Jon, looks like I last entered scores in 2021. I have entered scores for this year yesterday. I think I'm just asking to be added to the team filter on the nonathlon site?

Well done Iain, that looks tough. I'm deliberately taking it easy in the early days while I build my fitness back up.

Update 2: All fixed now. Good speedy response, although I would have expected to be able to update my own account details. What happens with people who fluctuate between light/heavyweight?

I have entered a time but I don’t seem to have a team and am also listed as female. There doesn’t seem to be an option to amend your account but I have used the message function. Hopefully they can sort it out

Done as a standalone 2k as the 4th rep of a 4x2000m 5r Pete plan workout. 1st 3 reps @ 2:05, this one for the CTC at 1:53.0 for a 7:32.2
