Re: AUG CTC - 'Dog Days Double Double'

Some amazing scores on the board so far - well done team [emoji3] After a lean couple of months over the summer my fitness has really gone backwards fast and my weight has ballooned accordingly so I've put myself on a strict diet and have been doing lots of long slow stuff to start to rebuild the en...

Re: Name that tune

Ok, never mind, this is Hurricane by Bob Dylan, the opening track from Desire. It's a protest song about the boxer Rubin Carter who was wrongly convicted of murder. For those of you into podcasts, this story has been told by the BBC under the name of The Hurricane Tapes - recommended listening [emoj...

Re: June ctc - 20 x 300m / 1'r

20 reps is certainly a tough one, just seems to go on forever! Went out a little too fast and had to slow down but luckily not too much so was happy to see at the end that I'd sneaked ahead of Tako for the time being [emoji3]. I think I will have another couple of goes at this as it is probably a go...

Got this in last minute and although I wasn’t really looking forward to it, it went a lot better than I was expecting [emoji3] With better fitness levels there's a half decent 500m time somewhere in there Well done to everybody for getting to the end of the season https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20...

Re: APRIL CTC - single 1500m

Ouch! March was a bit of a write off due to injuries and I rowed my fewest number of meters of any month this season. Decided to go out at optimal pace in full knowledge that I could not keep it up but tried to just keep going as hard as possible. Hopefully more to come if I can get more meters in [...

Bugle call answered [emoji3] Not done much recently due to 'niggles' so found this pretty tough and probably would have hd'd if this had been earlier in the month. Well done for everyone completing this - just the 500m to go, easy right? https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20190327/02c6dc4715810786502a...
