Re: 2018/19 Summary and Aspirations for 2019/20

Well done Lesley. :) =D> It’s good to read that your aspirations’ list has been updated for all the right reasons. Great start to the season and I hope that you will continue to make steady and successful progress. :) I tell people that I have managed to get off to the season with a flying start … b...

Narrowing down the options massively with this clue - Pixar movie
Plummy, guessing here, as I haven't seen the film; is it Toy Story Three?

Re: Name that tune

Jill inspired the choice by using 'Message in a bottle' by the Police. On that one there is a very long fade out with "sending out an SOS" repeated many times. The very final one of those, and the volume has to be turned right up, is "sending out an ESSO Blue". True. Thank you Steve, I never knew a...

Well done Steve. :)

I am being a bit dim with regards to the ' Esso Blue ' reference, even though I'm ancient enough to remember the advert: Boom. Boom. Boom. Boom ... Esso Blue.

I have enjoyed temporarily looking after this thread, it has given me a great deal of pleasure but I will not be able to do so for this season.

Re: Name that Film

Peter, if you look up Paddington Bear on Google all will be revealed.

I did check out certain details about the film before putting up my original post.

Here are a few of the main facts:

Distributed in the UK ( 2017 ) by Warner Bros, then worldwide ( United States 2018 ).

More clues:

1: A much loved ( by some of us anyway  ) fictional character is wrongly accused of a crime and sent to prison.

2: Marmalade.

Another line:

Put your paws in the air.

There is one particular scene in the film where some people, myself included, had to dab their eyes with a tissue.

Hi Marta, I was wondering what had happened to you - good to see you back. :) Glad to read that you have now resumed your training schedule - don't overdo things though, especially if the injury to your elbow was rowing related. Very well done on your 2000m PB =D> and good luck with the CTC. Erg wit...

Re: Name that tune

It was Dimples - the original version was of course by John Lee Hooker - thought that my " hooked " clue might have helped. You are correct Peter, it isn’t Suzy Q.
