Re: March ctc - 4x4'/4'r

Finally got around to my one and only attempt at this. Reasonably happy with the end result. Average slightly lower than my current 2k pace of 2.03.3, so all the effort must be working. Not much left to give on this one, and out of time.

=D> =D> =D> Wow congratulations, that is very impressive. I have had the same message from medical friends, try to steer clear of high intensity exercise but keep exercising to help maintain your immune system.

Re: Covid-19

I usually go in to work but we have been told to get 50% of staff at home wherever possible. With computer based projects at the moment I was happy to save the hour drive each way. Here in Oz, Queensland, so far we are not in lock down. Large events all cancelled, social distancing highly recommende...

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

Feeling bad (not really) that Max did a 5k TT I went out this morning to paddle a 5000m to tick over some metres and it all went a tad faster. As it was a standalone piece it counts as a proper PB, and faster than the one in the mixed session before. 21.37.9. I believe it could go faster but I wasn'...

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

No 5k TT but a 2kTT and a grand attempt at the concept2 virtual world sprints 1000m. Both PB's. 2k was 8:22.8 and now 8:13.3, so a 2:03.3 pace average. It didnt go to plan so i'm sure there is still a few seconds that could be knocked off this at the moment. Blew out in the middle section to 2:05 pa...

Well done Max, great effort. The charge of gross mischievousness has been wiped from your record. I hope it didnt hurt too much or for too long.

Punishment should perhaps be a 5kTT.

Congratulations, you are listed on the concept2 page as the Australian record holder at 8:36.5, I presume that was your AMG time. 6s faster is really awesome. Well Done

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

Thank you gentlemen, Max is correct, concept log doesn't see it as a 5k piece. Annoying I couldn't do that time just a week or so before in a planned TT. And yes doing it again would remove all doubt. At least I know my cunning plan is getting results.

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

When is a PB not a PB? As part of the rowd royalty online competition, week 3 event is a 10k done the crossfit way. Row 4k, 3'r, row 1k, 3'r, row 5k. The 1k and overall 10k times are for scoring. The 5k component was a PB, faster than the TT 5k I did just a week or so ago. Under the 22min for the fi...

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

I did it again  . This time over 1k. Down from 4.00 flat to 3.52.9 . The hr graph says I spent 3min 11s in the red zone. I'd say that means I gave it everything and the erg chest near the end would agree :P . Two lots of 1k wu, and some 20 min steady for cool Down, make up the rest of the hr ...

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

Claiming another 2 PB's . The 100m, knocked 0.9s off from 20.1 to 19.2. Took 2 goes as I tried my normal DF of 125 and I couldn't stay on the seat. Turned it up to full which was DF191, the only time I've rowed with the fly wheel on 10. Third time was slower. The 500m done on 24th Dec, is now sittin...

Queensland Indoor Rowing Championships

I've gone and put my registration in for my first erg race! It isn't until June 7th  . Apparently I was the 2nd entrant. I have entered the 55-59 2k, 500,1000 and mixed relay which is more of a fun event at the end. It isn't a huge event in terms of numbers. Times for events, or really the star...

Must be my turn to go first Louise. Overall time of 8.16.4. Recovered quite quickly so probably more in it but I'm unlikely to have another go. What a fun way to celebrate level up day, 55 is the new 30  , I just had to work of breakfast out and dinner will be out as well. IMG_20200111_1648...

Well done Louise. You set a nice target for me to aim at. Apologies for kicking you out of the boat though :D . I didn't think this would be possible after all the Crazybear challenge HM's, all long slow pieces. Happy with this go after 3 days off the erg in recovery :D . Onwards for some serious 2K...

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

Crazybear challenge complete, 30 HM done 6 days short of the 44 days allowed. Started with my one and only FM which in the absence of any other result for that I'm claiming as well 3:33:14.6  Finished number 30 with a PB and finally got under the 1:40 mark, 1:39:48.1. Being a tad stubborn has i...

Please Mr Plumb sir, can I have another star?

This Crazybear challenge has moved me past the 2 million to 2,007,207. No time to stop exactly on the 2 though, so just a plain star today.

Thanks Plummy

Welcome back. All of the above comments, I'm sure you can find something to hang your motivation on. How about a trip to Aus in early November for the Pan Pacs on the Gold Coast? I have used the meterboard initially, the CTC, instagram and now a regular group of people that throw ideas out which I c...

I need a FM to complete the nonathlon score set :). I was planning one before Christmas but not if I'm being crazy, hence the need for concept to see it as a FM. I better do it early as well I think in case the old body gives up on this :)

Re: Crazy Bear Challenge

Well I've gone a little crazy and signed up for this. Not sure how many will be achieved. I already do 10 or 12k a day so I am hopeful of getting the 30. 5 a week should see it done. My poor butt is feeling it already. If I set the distance to a FM so that concept see it as a FM, does that count as ...
