Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

Claiming another 2 PB's . The 100m, knocked 0.9s off from 20.1 to 19.2. Took 2 goes as I tried my normal DF of 125 and I couldn't stay on the seat. Turned it up to full which was DF191, the only time I've rowed with the fly wheel on 10. Third time was slower. The 500m done on 24th Dec, is now sittin...

Queensland Indoor Rowing Championships

I've gone and put my registration in for my first erg race! It isn't until June 7th  . Apparently I was the 2nd entrant. I have entered the 55-59 2k, 500,1000 and mixed relay which is more of a fun event at the end. It isn't a huge event in terms of numbers. Times for events, or really the star...

Re: January CTC - 1k 2r/520m 1r/500m

Must be my turn to go first Louise. Overall time of 8.16.4. Recovered quite quickly so probably more in it but I'm unlikely to have another go. What a fun way to celebrate level up day, 55 is the new 30  , I just had to work of breakfast out and dinner will be out as well. IMG_20200111_1648...

Well done Louise. You set a nice target for me to aim at. Apologies for kicking you out of the boat though :D . I didn't think this would be possible after all the Crazybear challenge HM's, all long slow pieces. Happy with this go after 3 days off the erg in recovery :D . Onwards for some serious 2K...

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

Crazybear challenge complete, 30 HM done 6 days short of the 44 days allowed. Started with my one and only FM which in the absence of any other result for that I'm claiming as well 3:33:14.6  Finished number 30 with a PB and finally got under the 1:40 mark, 1:39:48.1. Being a tad stubborn has i...

Re: Lifetime Millionaires Club

Please Mr Plumb sir, can I have another star?

This Crazybear challenge has moved me past the 2 million to 2,007,207. No time to stop exactly on the 2 though, so just a plain star today.

Thanks Plummy

Re: Trying to refocus

Welcome back. All of the above comments, I'm sure you can find something to hang your motivation on. How about a trip to Aus in early November for the Pan Pacs on the Gold Coast? I have used the meterboard initially, the CTC, instagram and now a regular group of people that throw ideas out which I c...

Re: Crazy Bear Challenge

Thanks Plummy

I need a FM to complete the nonathlon score set :). I was planning one before Christmas but not if I'm being crazy, hence the need for concept to see it as a FM. I better do it early as well I think in case the old body gives up on this :)

Re: Crazy Bear Challenge

Well I've gone a little crazy and signed up for this. Not sure how many will be achieved. I already do 10 or 12k a day so I am hopeful of getting the 30. 5 a week should see it done. My poor butt is feeling it already. If I set the distance to a FM so that concept see it as a FM, does that count as ...

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

=D> Awesome work on the 15721 ! =D> It is so much harder to stay focused for that length of time than just throw everything at it for 2 mins or less. And in trying to keep the thread heated up here are another couple of PB's done and dusted this morning. Thats a clean sweep for this season. A 4min b...

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

Thank you gentleman,

I am hoping to clear out the 2 remaining 2014 times before Christmas, 1k and 6k, and put a time in for the FM to notch up the extra points for the Nonathlon :D .

I think another look at my goals may be warranted :D , as long as I don't get too carried away

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

Complete idiocy this morning, after 30 min at 22s/m a nice 2k would be good. Smashed it!!!!! Really happy since I started from a C6 nerve compression issue in mid April, with some days still in tears in the armchair while on heavy pain killers, to now I can't get enough of erging  . Perhaps...

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

I think it is kind of cheating a little since I haven't done a 60 min piece as a standalone before, and I have now, that is another PB :) . 12,533m in 60 min at average 2:23.6, quite consistent throughout which was pleasing. Every 12 min, metres and pace 12min, 2490, 2:24.5 24min, 2517, 2:23.0 36min...

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

10000m PB by 19.1 s. I clearly need to update the list. New PB 46:40.4. It was supposed to be a rate restricted to 22, 10k according to the beginner pete plan, but I didnt feel I could mentally deal with that so since not feeling too bad I decided to try for this PB. Consistent 2k splits, a little f...

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

A 30min row of 6436m equals a PB for me. Smashed this season which was 6327 and edged past from my previous rowing in 2014 which was 6407.

A happy Wednesday morning with that result. Might need a kip under the desk later today :D

There you go Louise, sub 2 pace, just  . Only a 3k warmup before followed by yummy banana pancake :D. Fortunately for me I have no travel this month, did it all last month. Up to week 16 of beginner Pete plan starting on Monday, the final week 24 is not that far away.

Are you both going in the AIRC on 27th October? I'm going to watch the Brisbane event as I'm too slow YET.

Re: October ctc - 666 meters

Well Louise after a 3x10min session this morning I thought why not get something on the board for this CTC. I haven't hit your target but I am planning another go. We are currently in boat 2 together, early days yet for this month though. 2:03.7 pace for a 2:44.9 finish. I clearly sat back a bit muc...

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

Warning ** very excited ** At last, a sub 2:00 500m bettering the 2:00.0 I did last time out at this distance. Pretty darn happy with that since not much rowing 3 of 4 weeks before that and a long way from 2:40 in May this year. Thanks to rowing coach standing behind me saying when to hold back and ...

Re: September ctc - 1800m / 3'r / 1200m / 3'r / 1800m

After being away and struggling to reconnect with the erg I had to post something for September CTC. I've been close behind Clare on a number of these so I set a target to beat her score even if it meant trouble. Target achieved. I do find achieving so much easier mentally with a solid target. Also ...

Re: Meter board banter

Having quietly rowed passed Plummy, 3 days away and he seems to be trying the same quiet meterage addition. Only being approximately 17500 ahead at the moment I'm sure the 2 week break will give Plummy time to row past. I shall applaud =D> the effort as It will give me another challenge to meet when...
