Re: Lifetime Millionaires Club

Hi Dave, I’ve been quietly plodding along although not as much as when I first started. Looked backed through my logs and I can claim a gold star for 8mm on 23/06/17 “a weary 4037m UT2 capped at 130bpm to land on 8 million metres.” No mention of 6mm or 7mm so I’ll have to settle for black stars for ...

Re: Nonathlon 2019

Hello Stan,
Very late to the party this year but I’ve just registered for the Nonathon 2019 season. Could you add me to the Freespirits team.
Thanks
Richard

Re: Meterboard 2 - bugs and feature requests

Hello Thomas I appear on the meterboard and meters are updating correctly each day but when I click on my name instead of loading my page I get the following error message in the browser: "Warning: require_once(mb2-mysql.php): failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/freespir/www/ww...

Tweaked my back on the first attempt last weekend so this was an easy flat paced row just to set a time and float another boat without risking another strain.

According to this:

If you row at 2:20 pace for 13 hours you will burn ~16,000 calories per day  That's a lot of Bratwurst

Good luck Plummy. An incredible challenge  Have you worked out how many calories you will be burning each day? 10 minutes rest an hour for 15 hours a day doesn't leave much time for eating :-k

1 x XXL performance t shirt for me please. Maybe a XL polo or XL t-shirt as well but I don't think the discount applies to these as the 2-11 price is the same as 1.

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

Thanks for all the congrats. First split registered as 2:14 which I thought was a bit slow as I normally pull around 2:05 for a hard start. I realise now that it was the reaction time. Not sure how long that equates to but as you say Thomas, reaction time is probably about 0.2 secs. Anyway, decided ...

I noticed that and have no idea why at all. I can probably hack the database to give you a better scale though ;) Later: done - weirdly you had just 500m on the missing day. Your name rings a bell, so maybe you were one of the random people I deleted to see how it coped in the early mucking around....

Re: Meterboard 2 - bugs and feature requests

Thomas, Great work on Meterboard 2... Well done =D> =D> =D> =D> Not so much a bug but a query really. Just wondered why I show as having done minus 1,145,740 metres on 14th Dec then plus 1,161,330metres on 15th December instead of what I actually rowed which was the difference between the two (15,59...

Re: Marathons, ultras and other crazy talk

Just rowed my first marathon. I didn’t do any specific training other than a couple of HMs and a few long rows but turned to the Eddie Fletcher Marathon Plan for guidance on pacing. My rowing HRmax is around 158bpm, which is much lower than the traditional 220-age value of 167, and using a conservat...

Re: NEEDED: Programmer to recreate meterboard

Thomas, I'm sure that there are lots of freespirits out there who, like me, would miss the meterboard on a daily basis if we were to loose it. Also like me, they would probably help if they could. I have very basic (no pun intended ) programming skills that are probably of no use but I do know...
