Re: it felt really good but could I make it all the way

Does the app still log all the data correctly if you turn the screen off while you're rowing? if it does the phone should last a lot longer, as most of the battery is used by the screen being on. That's a trick I use if my battery is low but I need to use Waze for the hour long drive home from work.

Re: Can someone please explain .............

Newbie this season as well. I think I brought about 76K with me. I find it ridiculously motivating to crawl up the meter board past folks who started collecting this season's meters on May 1 when I started on Dec. 9. Now I'm trying to get my first million before the season ends on Apr. 30. We've be...

This is as close as you'll ever see me to doing 100k:

kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk
kkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk

(I took a line-feed break at 50k)

But like Barbara said, it's fascinating to read the details of how you guys do it :)

Re: Free Spirits CTC Participation and Leaderboard

And finally, these are the members that took part in all of the previous three years but went missing from the CTC in 2015: Grant Reeve. yes, just didn't find much rowing time all year - and every single row that I did do was UT1 pace only while watching Netflix! Got back into it with the holiday c...

Re: RowPro uploads not verified anymore?

When I've used RowPro I usually upload the row from the PM4 using the usual Concept2 upload utility since the PM4 records everything too, rather than using RowPro. Doesn't that still work? It's been nearly 2 years since I last used RowPro though.

Re: Meterboard and the C2 update

I'd like to see you keep your OTW - if anything those are harder earned meters than just strolling down to the basement to sit on the indoor rower! :) Most of us would just all in the water if we tried the real deal.

Re: The Pete Plan

One of my friends at work who I tricked into buying a C2 a year or so ago has just started doing the pete plan. He typically just does a lot of 10ks, and I'd peer at his training log and wonder why he's hovering at 41-ish minutes all the time. By the end of the first week of PP he was all "oh! ...

Re: Fall Team Challenge - start 15.9.14

I was figuring this challenge would be a good way to get some fitness base built back up, except picked up a cold right before it started. Combining the 2 weeks off due to heading out to Nationals for the car stuff followed up with 2 weeks of a cold, I feel like I've lost everything I was half manag...

Re: The Pete Plan

Paul it looks to me like you're being a little ambitious on that 4x2000k! You seem to be perhaps 1.5 to 2.0 seconds off your previous pace from the exercises earlier in the week, but you keep trying to start AT your previous pace for this one. Notice the final average actually was right in that perf...

Re: CRASH-B 2015 Date announced!

Cool, maybe this time I'll come down and watch and say hi :) Had been thinking about it earlier this year to check it out and watch Greg row, but never did go down. But I did hook up a friend at work with one of the discounted erg's at the end of the event, so he was happy. Just did the 40 thing mys...

Re: August CTC

Just did my first row this season faster than 2:07 pace! I started out assuming I'd lost perhaps 5 seconds of pace from where I was at last February before the year got too busy to keep up with any training, and went from there. 1500m 1:55.2 @30 183hr 1000m 1:52.2 @32 189hr 500m 1:48.3 @34 189hr 300...

Re: July CTC- 10 x 1' R1' (unrestricted rate)

Thanks Grant. I think I was pretty unfit in December 2012, but it's gratifying to see how much progress I've made since then. Not sure there's much more to come though. Are you going the give the challenge a go this month (lack of training opportunities notwithstanding)? Yes, I like this particular...

Re: July CTC- 10 x 1' R1' (unrestricted rate)

nice one, Paul :) You just crushed your 18 months ago self! Dec '12 had the same challenge: Paul Victory: 2678m 1:52.0 (249W) You're at 359W this time, so that's a 44% power increase! Back then I had a 2869m 1:44.6 (306.1W) but I've barely been able to row more than once or twice per month lately so...

Re: The Pete Plan

I don't gain or lose weight. I don't want to hit the super hard workouts too quickly and injure something, I will spend a couple of weeks building my conditioning back up, then I'll be back to the PP and see where I stand. Yes, habit is good to keep you going, but difficult to break out of when you'...

I recommend that you don't make it 2.5 months of no rowing at all like me :) Only just got going again last week, pretty sure I've dropped 10-15% power output over that timeframe.

Re: Anyone had any PBs recently?

This time C-Breeze cover popped off and DF was still too low resulting in quite a bit of chain slack on the recovery. Nice improvement :) So higher DF reduces chain slack on recovery? Didn't know that. When I've done those rare 40 spm type sprint things the biggest challenge is trying to coordinate...

you probably can, you just need to enter the data via punch card. or maybe by carving the parameters onto a stone tablet.
