Re: Meter board banter

My most sincere apologies all, for adding a month and a half's worth of meters all on one day. I've been stuck at the FedEx World Headquarters for the last 2 months, in a hotel. (You should see the health club facilites at FedEx  Top notch, and regular rowing buddies too!) I promise to be mor...

Re: April CTC 6k

Good Rowing all! =D> =D> =D> made my first attempt today, carrying a cold. Figured I'd lay down with just a practice run with 1:45 pace, but felt relatively good, and picked up the pace to 1:40 halfway through the 4th 1,000. Finished strong, but stroke rate was higher than I normally go at 30. Proba...

Re: March CTC - 10 * 1 min with 1 min rest

Thighs of fire... The gunny HATES these sprints... Tried to keep it at 1:31-1:33 There are several at the gym now wondering about my sanity, after removing all the oxygen from the air on my first 8 intervals... why I kept going for the last 2. Had the shakes for an hour afterword, and jelly-leg for ...

Re: May CTC - 5000m unrestricted

Raced the CRASH-B's 3 years ago and had a horrible row... not enough warm up... went out too fast... and just haven't been able to scheule another to redeem myself. I travel enough on a daily basis <FedEx Worldwide Account Exec.> so that when the weekends roll around I plant my sore buttocks at home...

Re: May CTC - 5000m unrestricted

Did some specific training for this length, I've never done that before. I eased back on the erg intensity, rowing my normal :60 to :90 minutes at 2:05+ but hitting the weights hard. When it came time to row hard, I felt that I could've ripped the chain right off the sprocket. Held a solid 1:40 for ...

=D> =D> =D>  ^O^ ^O^ Congratulations. Let's think about this for a second...13% of the worlds population is over 70 years old. that's .13 * 6,000,000,000. Technically "Central America" or so we've been taught. Don't know if that's just an American thing...

Nope. just spoke with my sister who lives in Honduras... she considers herself "Central American"...
