Re: Name that tune

Wish You Were Here.

I think that is the title and not just the repeated refrain.

Also, I wish just about anybody could be here, but we will continue to shelter until a vaccine is available. I can not remember looking forward to being able to get a shot ("injection") before! :(

Re: Name that tune

Congratulations Jill. =D> It's all yours now.

I was not too worried initially, #-o since the Beatles covered the song.

As I mentioned, Smokey Robinson sang the song on Sesame Street. I did not remember that he changed some the words for the show.

"I don't like you But I love you Seems that I'm always Thinking of you Though oh, oh, oh, You treat me badly I love you madly" "I love you and, all I want you to do Is just hold me, hold me, hold me, hold me Tighter, tighter" Lots more lyrics, since I was getting worried that it would take a Miracle...

Re: Name that Film

Hi guys. I am not sure where you are going, but I do not remember W. C. Fields in King Kong. Also, I am ashamed to finally note that I left out a word in my original post. #-o The quote should read ""It ain't a fit night out for man nor beast." I resurrected this thread mostly to share this f...

Unlimited.

2 wrong, so far.

Shouldn't be that hard. After all, how many short films from 1933 are there to quote??
Especially, classics.

Re: Name that tune

Sorry Ron, not at all.

I was watching a late-night TV show last week, with a singer as the guest. I initially misremembered who sang the song on Sesame Street.

Re: Name that Film

A few recent posts on the Forum made me think of this classic film. Just like Mary Poppins, I never explain myself!

I might respond to a PM. Maybe.

The quote, finally.

Re: Name that tune

Thanks Paul. And Ann says thank you to you, too. :D

We have been thinking of another song lately, but I searched and it has already been used here. So, instead, another one by the same artist. (No, not really a clue, just some mental rambling.)

Re: Name that tune

For some reason, I was thinking about this song earlier today. Under the Boardwalk , by the Drifters. Looks like we will not be up on the roof or under the boardwalk soon. We did get a delivery from the wine and liquor store today. \:D/ And Ann  reached 33 million meters. =D> ^O^

Re: Name that tune

I thought I knew it! It’s Three Little Birds by Bob Marley. Clues: From a 1977 album and released as a single in 1980. Often given the wrong title owing to repeated other phrases used in the lyrics Is that the title of the song??!! We both like it, but never knew the actual title. #-o In any event,...

Re: Name that tune

I looked, and there is a track "Rosalie/Cowgirl's song" on that album.

But, that is not my tune, and it does not seem to have words in common.

For example, my song has "she looked at me with big brown eyes".

Re: Name that tune

Ron, we do not usually go out to bars either. We usually drink alone, but that is a different song! I was thinking of using a Willie Nelson song, but could not find one that I knew more than the title lyrics. #-o So, as not to take up too much time, here is a one-word (sort of) clue: "B-b-b-baby"

Okay, Ron. The Bill Withers connection this time.

Lean On Me.

ps: I just listened to the song, and I am sure we do not go to the same kinds of bars.
