Re: December ctc - 7 x 1 minute / 70“r
Great going guys! Deja vu, saw this months challenge and Eric, Jason and Mat posting... although the erg is a bit foreign to me these days, I thought how much could seven 1m intervals be, with the extended rest 🙄😳 Actually pretty painful 😂 2214m 1:34.8 30spm average Better than I'd have thought 🤔......

Re: March ctc - 2 x 15 min / 3'r, static starts, the slower to count
#-o Claudius, leaving night shifts behind will reap dividends over the next few months. I stopped working nights last May and have found training much more predictable (energy levels were so variable)! I don’t know what my current 5K or 6K time is, so goal pace was based on a session from last week,...

Re: March ctc - 2 x 15 min / 3'r, static starts, the slower to count
Some great early entries already as expected from freespirits. David, I think the assembly of the Millenium Falcon is quickening your pace  Paul V - nice to see such an early second attempt. Erik, excellent as ever and in your consistency ^O^ I’ve not been going so fast over longer stuff lately...

Re: February ctc - 500m / 2'r / 1250m / 2'r / 500m, rolling starts except #1
I'm slowly getting back into the swing of these ctc's (unlike the stalwart members here who have consistently been putting in superb efforts). I was pleased to be kicked out of a temporary seat last month by Morten and impressed with Erik's significant improvement (in his signature style of repetit...

What a response!! It's tricky holding onto seats
Good luck Morten with the Nationals at the weekend

Thank you Erik and Felton Having someone else's score up as a pace guide makes a big difference, I doubt I could have done this otherwise. I don't think I'd have been good for a much quicker pace with multiple goes. I had a little extra time before work today, which I find makes a difference - too m...

Congrats to one and all for this pretty unpleasant (aren’t they all), C2C I was hoping to get an entry in earlier this morning, but I’ve been splitting time with my new Ski-Erg (I’m so far useless at this), the Wattbike and the (proper) erg :fswink: Thanks to Erik on this one, I used his pace as a g...

Re: Training towards a 6:20 2k
Hi Erik! Apologies for my conspicuous abscence, just so much going on lately! (I know I'm not alone there). There have been a lot of changes at work, though the effects of these may go on for a bit yet. Glad to hear you are well and the medication is suiting you and I really hope the repeat echocard...

Re: Training towards a 6:20 2k
I'm glad to hear you had good results on your blood tests Erik. I thought 120 sounded a bit low, but then what is your max HR these days? On beta blockers, I'm not sure what % exertion this will equate to, though it is somewhat disappointing. Perhaps in time they might revise this (I suspect if you ...

Re: Training towards a 6:20 2k
My ithlete HR variance suggested an easy day today, so why not try a sub-max 2K time trial! I thought I should after the previous confusion. Actually I doubt I'll train tomorrow then we're off to find some sunshine for a week, so no erg training, just a swimming pool and a knackered gym without a C2...

Re: Training towards a 6:20 2k
Oops, sorry Erik. Thanks, though I hadn't made it at all clear! I did 4*500m intervals and even then my result wasn't too good! [-X I've now edited my above post to clarify this. I should think with a bit more focused training I should get to this time though and hopefully quite a bit better ...

Re: Training towards a 6:20 2k
Wow Erik. That's an unexpected ctc entry, please don't overdo things. Have you had advice on what HR range you can push yourself to. I'm sure you've ample experience in terms of staying well within your capabilities. I'm sure that'll maintain at least boat 2. Great you've heard from Paul Gould. It's...

Re: Training towards a 6:20 2k
Well done Erik, that is a superb result for cruising speed! It must be awful not being able to drive. Further credit to you for working. I recall your house being quite remote. Good luck getting everything moved out of your apartment. I'm assuming all the stuff is going into your home, which no doub...

Thanks Erik. I forgot to mention, I think it shows great sportsmanship that you are able to enter a time for the ctc despite knowing you are capable of so much more. I'm sorry I don't have you to guide me towards a hard target but I'm inspired you continue to train and stay positive about your condi...

Re: EIRC 2017
Smash it Dave! I'm sure you'll enjoy the day all the more (especially after you've rowed). I wish I'd started training a bit sooner, I'd have loved to have gone (as it is I'm working so can't attend to support even). It's a great venue and a very well run event, and always good to see what's going o...

Re: The February CTC
That’s a great rate capped result Dan, I’m sure you’ll see a significant improvement as you go up the ladder. Dave, you’re not exactly tapering, though your ultra marathon-esque make up shouldn’t suffer too much for Sunday, good luck. That’s a fine result. I can see you’d need the tranquillity of yo...

So good to see you back on the scene Jane and posting in the CTC thread! Thanks for dropping in. Great stuff Erik, keeping the momentum going with sensible training! Great to have two more boats floated, thanks indeed to Jane and Jill. Really awesome to see you posting again Jane! Back in business for sure! The monitors are all too ready to round us down, and we take that, but if your PM3 monitor tells you a score, I think it’s appropriate to record it! (Perhaps...
