Re: June ctc - 20 x 300m / 1'r

It's been a while, but as I've posted on the CTC, I figured it'd be rude not to drop in and say hello to anyone who remembers me   I've been running for the last few years with the erg generally relegated to the occasional time that injury restricts the running. Unfortunately, the ...

Re: Training towards a 6:20 2k

Felt rather controlled, but almost let it slip on the last 100m, (another but) ended up with 1:27.6, must be satisfied with that... Still - I hope it goes easier on Sunday, when I´ll do 2 times 500m in the 8GP relay: http://8gp.dk/?sprog=en For these events I´m back with my old team from Aarhus, ho...

Re: Training towards a 6:20 2k

And got another SB Tuesday, just converting the 10k pace into a 30 minute beast: 8340m... Very Nice Erik   =D> =D> =D> I think you are being a bit sneaky about that 1k ctc - always know you can pull a damn good 1k out of your hat when you want to... Honestly not being sneaky Erik ...

Re: Training towards a 6:20 2k

Got my TT Bike yesterday - fantastic feeling... Either it was built for me, or I was built for it...  ...or perhaps a bit of both   Sound like you're flying on the erg again now after your (very) brief rest from it =D> =D> ^O^ ^O^ I'll look forward to hearing about the...

Re: Training towards a 6:20 2k

So Erik - how is the TT bike :?:  :-P Hope you managed to pick it up this week, and have had a chance to take it out for a spin :D :D I've been able to get running again this week - the most I've done since before the injury. Keeping it to around the 10k ish distance to ensure I don't put b...

HI Rodger, and thanks for the welcome back  I don't think there's any chance of a sub 17' this time around [-X  I think I'd need a good few months of consistent erg training to get anywhere close, and I'm hoping that I'll be back running again be...

Re: Training towards a 6:20 2k

Thanks for the comments guys :D My weight always varied a bit, but at the start of the year was around 92kg, so I've dropped about 7kg. This is partly down to training, but also a good chunk "fell off" when I gave up sugar sometime in Jan - so no biscuits, desserts or any other sugary stuff. My snac...

5k @ 1:53.8 (19') R22

Not too demanding this morning

I'm not sure that I belong on this thread because of all the songs listed above, I've only ever owned, or can honestly say I recognise the Dire Straits and Pink Floyd ones. Yes, I've bought very little music since the 90's, but my kids are gradually improving my repertoire! Almost all of my erging i...

Re: December CTC: 3x2k/3´ slowest rep to count

You're right Rodger - it's all about getting that first rep just right No idea how it relates to a 4 x 1800m as I've never done one  but I reckon it should be somewhere around your 5k pace. How much above or below depends on how recent your 5k time is :!: In case it helps anyone with compariso...
