Re: June CTC

I've done a bit more erging over the last few weeks (usual reason... an injury or two preventing me from running as much as I'd want), so thought I'd give the C2C a bit of a go

Ouch! Thats deceptively tough! (Sorry Erik 8-[ )

Thanks Dave :D :D

Sounds like my injury-enforced reappearance on the erg may have just missed out me on being pruned

Well Dave - its been a VERY long time since I've troubled this particular thread (you'd have thought I'd have had the decency to make it exact, but no  )

Re: December ctc - 7 x 1 minute / 70“r

Great early starts from Guy, Erik and Claudius =D> =D> Hoped the cast would be off yesterday, but have been told it needs to be on for another 3 weeks, so I'd better get used to the erg  Took a shot at this one first thing today; went too fast on the first one but somehow managed to recover e...

Thanks Erik - good to hear from you again, and I hope all is well with you   Great row Felton - sound painful  Well done Janet =D> Took a second a final shot at it this afternoon - found it incredibly hard, but managed to improve on all intervals so pretty happy with the r...

Thanks Steve, thanks Peter. It's okay to laugh  Its the 5th metatarsal thats broken (displaced fracture), so the cast is there really to hold it in place so it can heal (and to stop me doing anything stupid - I waited 3 weeks to go to hospital thinking it was a soft tissue injury and only went ...

Re: November ctc - 1k/3:30r/750m/2:30r/500m/1:30r/250m

Well done all - a deceptively difficult challenge! I'm back on the erg which must mean I'm injured and can't run :? Fortunately, it seems that I can row with a broken foot (though the cast does prevent me coming all the way forward at the catch! ) Took a look at this and thought I'd give it a ...

Re: June ctc - 20 x 300m / 1'r

Ouch! Had another couple of goes this week. Determined to get under 1:40 average. Baled on the 13th interval a couple of days ago after going off too fast, so it was do or die this morning. Right up to the final interval I wasn't sure which of the two would be the outcome, but turned out I managed t...

Re: June ctc - 20 x 300m / 1'r

It's been a while, but as I've posted on the CTC, I figured it'd be rude not to drop in and say hello to anyone who remembers me   I've been running for the last few years with the erg generally relegated to the occasional time that injury restricts the running. Unfortunately, the ...

Re: Training towards a 6:20 2k

Felt rather controlled, but almost let it slip on the last 100m, (another but) ended up with 1:27.6, must be satisfied with that... Still - I hope it goes easier on Sunday, when I´ll do 2 times 500m in the 8GP relay: http://8gp.dk/?sprog=en For these events I´m back with my old team from Aarhus, ho...

Re: Training towards a 6:20 2k

And got another SB Tuesday, just converting the 10k pace into a 30 minute beast: 8340m... Very Nice Erik   =D> =D> =D> I think you are being a bit sneaky about that 1k ctc - always know you can pull a damn good 1k out of your hat when you want to... Re: Training towards a 6:20 2k

Thanks for the comments guys :D My weight always varied a bit, but at the start of the year was around 92kg, so I've dropped about 7kg. This is partly down to training, but also a good chunk "fell off" when I gave up sugar sometime in Jan - so no biscuits, desserts or any other sugary stuff. My snac...
