Re: Bill Wright

So saddened to hear about Bill.

Grateful that after so much banter on the forum I got to meet him in Boston.

Trish, may your family find peace in the many memories with such a great man. So very sorry for your loss.

Well done Barb!! Your OTW coach must love you for your fitness.

Shirley is amazing. I remember doing my HM PB with her...she kicked my butt...despite her 20 years of "extra experience" on me!

Re: October CTC: 10k unrestricted

Yesterday, I was talking to Richard about all the ladies who used to take part in the CTC and what a shame it was, that for whatever reason, they didn’t anymore. Of course, your name was included - I was thinking about asking Barbara or David about you but then thought that would sound like a bit o...

Re: October CTC: 10k unrestricted

Had seen chatter on FB about a straight 10k CTC, so when I sat down today I looked at the CTC board to see that we had a couple of boats on the shore. Initially planned 2:22-ish pace based on some 30 min pieces I did last week...but Sheena's Boat III 2:19.4 pace was banging around in my brain...even...

Re: Madchester 2016 - is ON!

Ok my plans are not fixed yet but I think the only weekend I will be able to detour from my sightseeing is April 9. Obviously would love to meet everyone. My trip will mostly be visiting Scotland plus a couple of days in London. What kind of touristy things are there to do near Manchester? Eldest ch...

Re: April CTC - The Sub 7 300m Sandwich

Oh dear. Went off at a nice 1:58 pace, blew up with 200m to go, limped home, managed the first two 300m okay, then watched the wheels come off for the remaining reps. Clearly have not regained any mental fortitude for intervals but CTC is done. I can't remember how to add a picture to the forum but ...

Re: what training have free spirits been doing today?

Well, lesson learned! So glad I went... would have missed a lot not being there yesterday. In the back of my mind, I thought I could still perform at paces close to my recent 2k test. Yes, my chest was rattly and ears not pressurizing properly, but i had no fever and otherwise felt good. Warmup fel...

Re: what training have free spirits been doing today?

Today was a 30 min recovery row. Unremarkable in every way, save one. On Sept 17 my 2:26.9 pace resulted in an average HR of 168; today the pace was 2:22.0 and average HR at 154. Just happy that with the help of a little prodding from Camicrew I am slowly regaining a bit of fitness.

Re: Fall Team Challenge - start 15.9.14

16,304 m contributed to the cause.

Since moving to CA I have gained a 5 pounds, which would be fine if it was muscle but sadly all flab. Need to reverse that trend.

CamiCrew - you may need to drive to San Diego to beat me with a stick if I don't get back on tomorrow.
