Re: July ctc - 3 X 2813m intervals with 4 mins rest between reps. Slowest counts
This challenge is tough, I attempted it without much preparation to be honest, having done a running half marathon the week before. I really pushed it though and my pacing ended up being pretty good. rep 1 10.56.8 rep 2 10.56.3 rep 3 10.56.2 The last rep although it ended up being the fastest. I was...

Re: WELCOME to New Members
Thanks David, Its good to be back after a far too long a lay off. After much racking of brain matter remembered my username and password on the concept 2 log as well which is a bonus. However it is slightly depressing looking back at my times from nearly 10 years ago. Still it gives me a goal

Re: The holiday challenge
After a long break from any really serious work on my rower, decided to give this challenge a go, hopefully bring my base fitness levels back a bit, my times are so slow since 2007!! Nice to be back again though

I love the look of the rowathlons, and definitely going to give them a go next year, i think the series is coming to an end this year now. My rowing is definitely better than my swimming!! which isn`t saying a lot tbh  I think once I get my triathlon out of the way end of August I`ll blow the ...

Congratulation to all those who took part at Evesham, sounds like it was a great event, as you all may have guessed I didn`t make it  .....felt like I let the team down and myself. As you can see from my recent metre board slump just haven`t put the metres in as of late. Seem to be so busy trai...

Think mine is scheduled at 4.20, ooer, I feel so under prepared hardly sat on my rower for a month, and I`ve been struck down in the last few days by back ache, could be a touch of sciatica. I`m hoping a mix of adrenaline and determination will carry me through! Still it`ll be great to meet you guys...

Don`t be too down on yourself Thomas, I think you`ll surprise yourself at Evesham, competitive atmosphere and the adrenaline will keep you going, ......thats what I`m counting on anyway :D , although personally I`ll be amazed if I get remotely close to my PB, no sprint training, even my running has ...

Well a PB and failed workout all in 1 day!.....after my 500m dash...and several minutes rest , thought we`d give a 5x1000m intervals a go, with 2 min rest periods. Had a blast at my weakest Pb and my weakest distance tbh....the 500m, just can`t seem to develop the power, I was down the gym, and had my training partner screaming in my earhole threats and encouragement :) , which I`ve no doubt helped loads. Managed to knock nearly 4 secs off previous best to a n...

Hi Alistair, judging by ur splits for 30m and 10k, Im sure that sub 20min for 5k is definitely only a mental barrier, I find on any distance 5k or lower, I like to go off fast and get my average split time well down on my target, then steady up and try and keep to my target split, with the aim of go...
