Re: End of season targets
Cheers PJ. Getting into the on the water stuff. Great fun. Yesterday went out twice in a 4. Starting to get to grips with it. Then they offered me the chance of a single scull ( wanted to see how low in the water it was - lol ). John Glynn opted to watch. Lasted about 3 minutes then capsized - heh h...

Re: End of season targets
Well that's one ticked off my list. Did my first on the water row tonight. Lots to learn, made mistakes but loved every minute. Was out for about 35 minutes. Raining hard. Bit choppy up river but calmer downstream. Rowing in postion 2 strokeside in a 4. Sure I will ache in a few odd places tomorrow....

Re: Will a throat infection effect performance?
Hmmmm, I'm a week and a half into a throat infection. Hardly slept much for the last week, coughing on a regular basis. Have not rowed for a week ( Killing me more ). If I can stop the coughing ( which is more of an issue now when I lie down ), I will still be competing in the NI IRC tomorrow. See ...

Re: IIRC anybody going over?
Hi Stan, Certainly have. Very chuffed. Could not quite believe it really. Has been a bit of a fiasco this year. I consider myself pretty lucky as I have been totally unprepared and had no expectations other than to just complete the distance. Here are just some of the reasons why: ( Don't laugh - he...
