what training have free spirits been doing today?
Grew some balls and did an hour. Probably first time for a good year. 14072m. Nothing to write home about but objective was just to get it out of the way.

Evans cycles arrange sportives and as luck would have it, one from my daughter's school. 58 miles turned into 61 when I missed a turn. Still good base training

Re: The Interactive Plan (IP)
Well apologies for not pulling (no pun intended) my weight on the IP. Work, injuries and too scared to go out incase I ran into Mr Victory has meant no rowing since 21.09. So I decided to do a 2k check test. The result was a rather unimpressive 7.25.4. But if I was a politician I would talk up the g...

Saw Morning Parade at La Scala on Monday. Boys from Harlow and not bad. Songs you'd expect to hear on one tree hill during a pensive moody actor looking out over the ocean scene. So mr webberg will dislike immensely. Warm up act were a Danish synths and guitar set up called Veto. They were brilliant...

CAV WINS THE BIG ONE
Well said Huw. Football and other team sports could learn alot from the team ethos of GB cycling. The majority of the watching public won't understand the sacrifices DM, BW et al went through for 259.8km to ensure gold for a team mate. Those boys IMHO are rock hard. You try riding for that long that...

Re: CAV WINS THE BIG ONE
For 259.8km he rode faster than 99.9% of the global population could over 3k. He and his team dictated the race and never panicked. As he said three years ago the race topography was announced. Its not his fault other countries couldn't drill a team together to compete. HE did work for 259.8 but in ...

CAV WINS THE BIG ONE
That was amazing! He looked liked he wasn't even trying. No double kick today. Liked the way he thanked his seven team mates. Manx/Abridge missile is a true gent.
Great race including voeckler's charge and legendary ranting to the breakaway. Reminds me of plummy at his best.

Today was 2x10AT. Decided to do 5k instead. 19.33.4. Don't know what to think. My pb is 40 secs quicker. One hand bit despondent but I'm trying to be rational and hope I can improve hr max 184 av 165 so should see this as a TR session

Not experienced in IP but I doubt your longer rowing will affect you adversely. As long as the longer stuff is done at a lower intensity then it should benefit you. Just doing anaerobic stuff won't improve blood transportation etc. I had the u23 GB rowing training schedule a few years ago and their ...

Oh dear went to a local cycle track called hog hill today just for a nose and intended gentle ride. Turned up paid and then get roped into a junior's training session. I've only had a road bike since June never been on a track and can't corner for toffee. Well Lesley the coach ignored all this and h...
