I don't know whether to laugh or cry Mat!
First of all, I hope you are taking great care not to crack the cast and do any damage ... but it's great if you can use the erg whislt waiting for the full recovery =D>

Hi Dave, yep my yellow strip is starting to come off ...
None of my other 3 old ones have done this (they cracked, but stayed in situ)

Re: November ctc - 1k/3:30r/750m/2:30r/500m/1:30r/250m

Well done gang, filling boats now. I fleetingly had a look at Taco's result, but quickly realised its way beyond me ^O^ Perfectly happy with 8:34.3 / 1:42.8 though 1k - 1:44.3 750 - 1:43.3 500 - 1:41.4 250 - 1:37.2 All of them hurt, so won't be having another go! James H is revving up nicely for BRI...

BRIC 2019 - Dec 7th

Hi, has anyone entered BRIC this year?
Or is anyone local going to pop in to spectate?
My friend James Hayter has entered the mens 40-49 hw (I think he's entered as independent, but I'm checking on that).
Sadly I can't make it, so if there any friendly faces around please let me know.

Re: "About me" - a place to introduce yourself

Welcome Matt. Good luck on your rowing journey.
As a relatively new member of Warwick, I'm sure we will bump in to each other at a regatta on the Avon or Severn at some stage!
Cheers, Wolfie

Re: Indoor Rowers League 2019/2020

I've added a score.
Given recent form, I wanted to go 1:45 most of the way and speed up.
But .. 1100 in I completely blew up and limped home.
I'm blaming the very mild chest cold, ho hum

Re: October ctc - 666 meters

Well done Lesley, easily sub 2:00/500 =D>

My mate James has had a go, and he targeted sub 2:00 from the off.
We knew it would be hard, but possible.
result = 1:58.7 / 1:29.1 / 36
Pacing not too bad
200 - 1:27.1
400 - 1:30.0
600 - 1:29.2
666 - 1:30.1

Re: Name that tune

Wolfie, I don't know that tune, so I have to say "No" though it may have similar lyrics to the song I'm posting... :) The great Aretha Franklin ... official title is "I say a little prayer" and now I've looked it up, the words I was thinking of are " The moment I wake up / Before I put on m...

Re: October ctc - 666 meters

You've gained a lot of fitness over the last let's say year? Yes, thankfully! A few years of being idle, then discovering a local OTW club has helped to move back in the right direction. Apart from the now regular exercise again, we have a weekly team erg session too. I'm hoping for more of course....

Re: October ctc - 666 meters

Agree Peter, faster next time  Nice one ladies, looking forward to your next goes. Common theme, put a score in after another work out... easy/steady 10k today (42 min), then a pop at this. Was surprised at Tako's score, as I thought I could do ~1:37.5. He must have been quite gentle. Anyway, f...

Re: September ctc - 1800m / 3'r / 1200m / 3'r / 1800m

 Gave in on the this CTC. I’m not in shape for this kinds of row yet. My best 2000m is in pace 1:50 so far, so my time would be rubbish anyway on the rerow of the last 1800m. We don't worry about times (well, it's not the absolute be all and end all  ), we just like filling seats....
