1st attempt for me.
Mental target was to see how long I could hold 1:38
500 - 1:37.3
400 - 1:37.0
300 - 1:34.5
200 - 1:32.5
100 - 1:34.0 somehow miss timed the start and it cost me
very happy, and paced well (above target obviously). Maybe a little more if needed.

Had my third go at this...
So overall quite happy with an improvement by 5.5 seconds over last time's effort.
3rd go on the 9th of the month  =D> =D>
Another 5.5s is a really good effort Peter 8)

Re: June ctc - 20 x 300m / 1'r

well done Rodger, great score. =D> Yes James is one of my mates. He actually screwed up, misread the instructions and did 20x1/1. But as every one of his reps were over 300 I added him at a slightly slower time. His fault, and it made him "ill", so no sympathy from me! Don't think we'll see the othe...

Re: June ctc - 20 x 300m / 1'r

Would anyone mind if I get a couple of my mates to post a score?
I'm "coaching" them to improve their current 6:40 2k times in an attempt to get to 6:30.
So obviously they'd be pushing for boat 1 slots.
With that in mind I thought I'd ask first. I know it's 'Free' Spirits, but just courtesy ...

Re: Name that tune

ok, sorry. I was having a bit of fun, but at the same time did think this was a quite well known bit of trivia. At the end of ELO's 'Mr Blue Sky' album track (final track, side one) there is the line "please turn me over". They even use include it as part of their live set the past few years. Jill i...

Re: June ctc - 20 x 300m / 1'r

Well done gentlemen, nice control all round. =D> I don't think there's anyway of nailing down an exact pace target for this... maybe start just under current 2k pace (if known) and try and neg split eventually? That's what I did anyway, started at 1:44, and neg split after half way, finishing on 1:3...

Re: Name that tune

Seems it's too obscure then, final big clue... it's not a lyric within the song, but a comment at the end of the track

Paul Victory posted an easy song, on the thread he originally started, and no one wants to name it. I gave everyone a fair chance.

Paul, "Your Song" by Elton John.
Only if you recognise the lyric :)

Re: May CTC - 3 x 1k / 5 min rest

oh, sausage and poopy things!! Good - aimed for 1:45 (as it's supposed to be a good 2k predictor) Bad - completely mistimed the rolling start on the 3rd rep and saw ave 4:29.3! Dragged it back, but it didn't show 1:45 until after nearly 500 gone. Very bad, missed Ben by 0.1s   10:...
