Web site problems :(

Where should the web site go - what should we do? Who has the time between rows?

It does track across machines if that is any help. And if you visit briefly on one and go straght to another all threads will show as "not new".

Does that make sense? Does it help?

So if I visit just one thread in The FreeSpirits Forum from computer 1, all of the theads there will show as read on computer 2 shortly thereafter? Odd. It did seem to be doing that yesterday, just don't remember it behaving like that previously. Not a big deal of course.
Cheers,

Yes. It remembers your last visit, a new PC is seen as a new visit since the cookie for that session is missing.

Apparently, I have no interest in working today...

Noticed small typo on converter page:
http://www.freespiritsrowing.com/conten ... _converter

"Because of the international nature of the team, there is some confusion about what our body masses are. 1 UK pound is exactly the same as 1 USA pound. And 1kg is around 2.2kg. Here is a lookup table to help you understand the different conversations."

I think it should read "And 1kg is around 2.2lb." (not 2.2kg).

Once again, I must be bored.

Don't know if I'd really call this a problem or not. I had noticed previously bogus meters showing in my logbook calendar when accessed from the meter board for a specific day. Then today, I saw it doing the same thing (same day) for another member.

Go to the meter board, and click on a member's name. From the calendar view, click on the Previous Month link until you are viewing the May 2007 calendar. Look at the bottom of the calendar, and see June 3rd. Note the number of meters. For instance, Tom Barrick supposedly rowed 736,710 meters that day. Then click the Next Month link to view June 2007. Note that the bogus amount no longer shows for June 3rd. For me it shows 65,191 when viewing on the May calendar, and nothing when viewing from the June calendar. I know that I didn't enter any meters that day at all.

The good news is: I don't think this number is getting tallied into our totals on the meter board. But it is a strange thing. The number shown does seem to be some summary of the individual's meters, as our meter junkies have much larger numbers there than our "reformed" members.

Just curious...
Cheers,
Kris

Think this is the place to put this so here goes -

am having problems with getting my PB's updated on my signature - have updated a couple of these recently but no matter what I do I can't seem to get it to change.

Have deleted everything, removed the link from my signature - this worked in that I had nothing in my signature after but when I then re-created my PB's the same one appeared in my signature.

Have also noted that where I record my PB's it includes 100km and I have entered something in there (not a time so don't panic) but nothing appears in the signature.

Anyone any ideas if I haven't confused you with any of the above

many thanks

David

May be a silly question, but I assume you have tried:

shift + F5 (refresh)

This forces the browser to get the latest copies of all images and text.

Thomas - thanks for that, have left it overnight and all seems OK this morning. Will add a SB's panel and see what happens.

Thanks

PS wasn't a silly question as did not know that and therefore had not done it! Will use next time.

I thought I'd put this in here to help anyone else who has noticed the same problem:

I wanted to have 2 sigs one for my SBs and one for my PBs, but when I rowed a PB this season I had a problem creating 2 files as it wanted to give them both the same name.

In the end I used safelizard.com which allowed me to enter my PBs creating a file with a different name, and I used the normal method for creating my SBs sig.

The meter board refuses to remember me. Have to "This is me" each time I look at it. Any hints..? This has never happened before. No software changes.

Not sure about this at all. I would try with a different browser/machine and see if it is browser dependent.

In Firefox, this will happen if you select "Clear private data".
Our Pc is now set to clear private data every time fiefox is closed, so I have to select 'this is me' all the time now.
You might have firefox or IE set up the same Boris?

Is there a problem today?
First day I've ever seen without a single post.

EDIT: As I've successfully submitted this, I guess not #-o

I tried adding a weekly weigh in post just there and it failed, my post must have been too heavy

How does the world map update? Wife and I still show to reside in NJ, USA although we are in Wausau, WI, where we'd rather show up at...... - C2 profile is updated with correct location.

I have no idea. As usual, I would suggest emailing JL - I think that his email address is at the bottom of all the pages he controls.

Hi Thomas,
not sure if this is your area or J.Ls - it looks like the Jupiter graph has stopped updating?

Looks like the C2 logbooks are not available for some reason. Most of the logbook book icons on the meter board have disappeared.

On my profile, I can't get to it from my meter board page:
http://data.freespiritsrowing.com/frees ... ber_id=296
Click on the View logbook button, and get the "Member is not a Free Spirit training partner."
I already have the FS training partner entered in my profile on C2. Something must be up?
Cheers,
Kris

Seems the meterboard has disappeared! Can't get to it since last night. My saved url was http://rowing.flugsvamp.com/freespirits/ but the link above now shows http://data.freespiritsrowing.com/freespirits/. Neither work though?

I wonder why the meter board does not reflect anyone's meters in the last two days?

Because of the change in the season. Jonathan needs to do something with it some stage. At that point we will start from May 1st and we lose all those who have not rowed since May 1st. Dont worry this happens each year.

Sorry, I forgot to post on this last night. JL is on the case but it will take a couple of days to sort out. Until then, we'll have no meterboard.

Yes, and don't be perturbed if your first row does not appear, the way the meterboard works is that it needs two rows to start recording (I think).
